That purple looks cool.

Should have known ratcheting screwdrivers would be involved.

Picked these up earlier this week when I was doing some work on my f250. Had to press out some sway bar end link bushings, good excuse to go pick up a hydraulic press.

New guy at work used to be a machinist and wanted to get rid of these for some reason: Mitutoyo digital caliper and micrometer.

Made in Detroit used to be independent. Once they established street cred Kid Rock bought them.

Channellock 338 and 349. Trying to support American made tools when I can.

A little disappointed with the QC on the 339's. Had to take a file and knock down the burr that was along the corners on the outer edge.

I can only imagine how many you have at this point, seems like every month you buy more! (Not that its a bad thing) care to show us the total collection?

I honestly don't know exactly how many there are. They're not all in the same place (some in the house and some in the shop) and I lost count a dozen or 2 ago. Come to think of it, there's a couple in the UK that aren't even here yet lol. Working on a 'display" for them at the moment and will post a pic or 2 once that's done and they're all gathered. I just wish I could find the last few that I'm missing (see sig). Seems like every couple months, I discover the existence of one i knew nothing of that fits in with my interests. I try to get them at a good price so that usually lengthens the process.

Just got this today. Proto J5250XL ratchet. 3/8 drive 11" long. 45 tooth. Sealed head. Chrome is flawless. Love these Proto XL rats. Pictured next to my J5450XLBL.

That is my favorite ratchet of all time. Smooth as can be and they will take an insane amount of abuse :eyecrazy:

I got the 5450XLBL a couple months ago and I love it. I was in the market for a long 3/8 ratchet. I decided to buy new and got this because of how good it's bigger 1/2 brother is. I think they are an excellent value for a usa made ratchet. Surprisingly they don't seem to have a big following

Killed off most of a Sears Gift card I've had lying around and some surprise points. After the surprise points it was $38 and change, and shipped free. Actual bar/tool is pretty nice. Both it and the extension are stamped USA.

Sockets weren't broached too cleanly but for ~40-50 street price I dont think anyone can complain. Considering the application it doesn't matter one bit and with Lisle its often just simple tools that work without the tool truck "bling" factor. My one and only real complaint about the set is that there are no size stampings on the sockets. I'll fix that with some die stamps later. For those that care no COO stamping on the sockets either.

I have full access to and have used the GearWrench one many times, works really well except for the few occasions I've had the thing pop apart while trying to tension. Just wanted to give the lisle one a try.

Couple Snap-On 1/4" hex to squares. Smallest I could find that have a detent (where the seal sits).

Also picked up a Tekton 3/8 72T low profile ratchet. Pretty impressed with it's strength and feel so far. Thinking about grabbing the 1/4" and stubby versions of both. Time will tell!

Just a quick update: These do NOT lock into my M12 impact with the o-ring installed. The o-ring does provide a good amount of friction in the chuck, but it is not physically locked in. Tried removing the o-ring as well, but there is not enough hex length for it to hit the detent.

Friend of mine has the snappy 14.4V 1/4" hex screwdriver and it is locked in though. Strange.

It's damn near impossible to find a actually short 1/4" extension that will actually lock in. Before I bought my 1/4" square drive M12 impact, I ended up cutting a longer one down and using a Dremel to grind a detent in. Not the prettiest, but it worked.

Who knows?
I've got that same set. I also bought it at HJE. Smoking deal.

Worked perfectly when I had to remove a snapped off bolt on our Cavaliers transmission pan. (Might want to invest in a die grinder too btw.)

Pros: It definitely saves space which for me a is a huge plus as I'm always buying new tools. Its looks and feels well designed and built.

Cons: The magnet is not as strong as I had hoped for. It sits to high up so your tool may not sit very even.

All in all I like it

Just a couple of highlights over the last 2 months or so. I'm working on getting a really solid setup going for home, most of my good stuff is at work. Keep in mind some of these are Princess Auto, some are Canadian Tire brand (always from a great sale) and the others are Snap-on off the truck.
