Drywall bucket scoop.

Then I used it for thin set on my current shower job...I'm so mad I never knew about this before.

Got a new to me tool box.
Its about 1 1/2 old
And was very well taken care of.
Smoking deal at that..
I never thought I'd spend as much money in the last two weeks on Snappy socket sets just to make it look pretty when I open it..:lol_hitti
Ive been using Craftman tools since I was 13.
Im now 38 and decide it was ok to splurge just a little..

I bought all this from an online auction. Paid about $3300 for it all.

That is a beautiful box. I love white tool boxes. If for some reason I ever order a toolbox some day, it'll be white... Or purple.

A local NAPA has a pile of great stuff on clearance, in fact the guy who helped me said they have a truck full out back still. I picked out a few of the deals: the screwdrivers were $4 a throw and are Made in Germany (Wiha)? The socket rails are the same as Gearwrench and SK uses them as well and they were also $4. The 3/8 stubby flex head ratchets were $14. This is the same USA ratchet that Craftsman had been selling. Not pictured is a 14 piece 1/4 drive deep well USA socket set for $12.

Those screwdrivers are Witte, not Wiha.

I love those Napa Witte drivers. They were closed out three or four years ago when Napa switched to the Carlisle house brand. Go back and buy all you can! Make a deal with the store manager for the whole lot!

Drill America Qualtech Jobber drill bit set. Came from Amazon Warehouse Deals for 13$! They're not USA made but I've been using the same B&D homeowner set since I had an apartment and these feel a lot nicer. Someday I'll splurge on some Norseman Cobalts but in the meantime I think these guys will do just fine. Also they came in a USA made Huot drill index which was a surprise.

Looks like they were used a few times for drilling wood based on the sawdust in the index / on the bits. There's not a scratch on them though so they were used very few times.

I also picked up more of the bolstered Kobalt screwdrivers, and a second 1/4" flat head as the test subject for my Chiseldriver shootout / torture test video I'm starting to plan out. I might post a separate thread to try to get some ideas for what to test and general planning.

Also as someone else said, there is a 4 pack of these screwdrivers sold right with them that is marked as Maid in China. It's really odd that these individuals are marked Made in USA from global components. I wonder if the S shaped screwdriver included with the 4 piece set pushes them over some % made in China for the entire package where they can no longer claim Made in USA from global components or something? :dunno:

Got some new left hand drill bits off the truck yesterday. Was only going to buy the drill bits but was cheaper to buy the whole kit and I must say the extractors in this kit far exceed the Mac junk I had before.

Mostly all I ever need them for is removing broken exhaust studs out of Ford 6.8L v10's so these work good for me. Thought about the larger kits but the price is not something I wanna pay for stuff that won't get used.

Those spirals work ok for that? I just ordered the square twist kind, they work like a hot damn. Borrowed another guys for broken exh manifold bolts last week.

I've never had luck with those or the square ones unless its something soft like brass. By the way you can cut out the middle man with Snap-On extractor sets, many of them are rebadged Irwin sets. "There isn't a difference".

Works great unless the stud is seized solid in the head. My snap on dealer sold us an awesome tool for doing exhaust studs yesterday. Kit is made by ProMaxx tool and it has a drill guide plate that bolts to the head with hardened sleeves to drill a hole dead center in the stud. Took me about 4 hours to drill, extract and heli coil 8 broken studs before recieving this tool. Used the tool on the other side and removed 4 studs in less than an hour with no need to heli coil any of them.

I've had good luck using this kit for most Ford broken exhaust manifold bolts. Good drill bits and a variable drill make it easier too. http://www.tooltopia.com/astro-pneumatic-9447.aspx

The spirals work ok for exhaust manifold bolts if you can get to them to drill. That's all I used to use until the shop I work for finally got a welder. Now I just build a nub on the end of the bolt with the welder and turn them out with vise grips. Takes half as much time as drilling

How do you like it ? I'm buying one this weekend.

So far I like it more than the two 44's. Only thing I don't like about it is that it has 2 deep drawers, I would rather one deep drawer and 2 more shallow drawers and it would be perfect, but I'm sure that would have added to the price with extra hardware. The extra depth over the 44 is also nice to have.
Still working on organizing it how I like then will put up some pictures/video comparison.

Been looking for a good set of jumper cables without breaking the bank. Wasn't having much luck, everything cheaper was copper clad aluminum and the 100% copper cables were $$$$.

http://atdtools.com/7974

Found these on Jet.com and took advantage of their 15% off and free shipping so they ended up $83 and some change.

-100% copper and the outer coating is nice and flexible
-the anderson connectors are preinstalled so no screwing that up
-comes with a dust cover for the truck side that isnt in the picture and battery post extenders and other hardware

Currently have it apart for cleaning and repair.

From my short Google education seminar, looks to be 1950's? I wouldn't think it's that old. Possibly made by New Britain Machine Company.
