Also the HF digital torque wrench / meter was on sale today and with another 20% off brought it down to... 26$? Hopefully I can play around with it a bit tomorrow but it feels surprisingly solid, came in a nice little case and actually had a cal certificate with measured values. I was pretty surprised by that. I'm gonna compare it against my new PI torque wrench to see where it's at.

Notice anything funny about the calibration certificate? Like....there are no pen marks on it, it's just the same thing that was printed for all the other ones? :)

Anyways, it's pretty accurate, as has been said many times already. It's +/- 2 ft lbs vs my Snap-on Techangle through most of its range.

It's the only torque wrench worth buying from Harbor Freight. I'm already on my way to warranty two torque wrenches with them. I don't use their torque wrenches much, but definitely want that peace of mind when the time comes to put them to "experimental" use. I always have my trusty beam torque wrenches and Harbor Freight torque wrench adapter when needed.

Awesome, I was just there at that very spot a few months ago. Its a picture perfect shot; the views are too mesmerizing. Lots of tourists on Cadillac Mountain indeed, haha :)

Yup, Cadillac Mtn... lots of tourists, but once it clears up  awesome switchbacks and views

Got tired of using some random cheap pliers, cutters, etc in my junkyard/rental house handyman toolbox so picked up some Channellock goodness to replace the old junky ones with.

I'll never buy/keep cheap junky cutters or pliers (especially cutters) again. Not sure where I got these to begin with (maybe as part of a housewarming gift years ago?) but they were terrible. After only a few uses cutting 16/18 gauge wiring at the junkyard the cutters were useless. Going to the junkyard less these days but have been using these as part of my emergency "something's wrong with the rental house again" toolbox a lot lately and using crappy pliers just *****.

That Hougen unit is great. The shop has one but I got a super deal on a 28V Cordless Metabo unit from our tool supplier and haven't touched the Hougen. You won't be disappointed just make sure to not skimp on cutter quality.

Yeah the "certificated" could easily just be an identical copy to all the others but even going to the trouble to do that at all is surprising.

Princess Auto had magnetic rails on sale.

Titan brand, made in Taiwan, both sides magnetic. Very strong magnet.
Figured they would be handy for loose and odd sockets/bits/tools.

I got four 12" and two 24". I'll probably return the 24" rails.

And finally got tired of controlling the speed with my finger when I use my rolocs so bought and installed an adjustable air regulator. Soooo much better and less hand/finger fatigue.. now i can just hold the lever down and go...

New company policy says we can't use any adjustable crescent style wrench over 8 inches in length. So in the name of safety (and with proper approval) I removed this one before it jumps up and bites somebody.

At first the policy said no "crescent" wrenches over 8 inches may be used. I planned to use a loophole that Crescent is a brand; this is a Proto, so it's safe. So I even tried to keep this one in our tool stock at work, but my plan was shut down right away. Oh well, I made out in the end.

What kind of work do you do? And how could it be dangerous?

Bad idea, IMO. On a tool that specific, why include wire cutting blades? It probably provides almost no benefit, and if you are n a position to use those then you are probably in cramped quarters, applying heavy finger force. Therefore, you dont want a blade waiting to cut and/or slice you when your grip slips!

They also had some SAE stuff I didn't buy, but check it out if you are interested.

Prices were decent.
Pliers set.

Metric wrench set. It is so old the plastic case the wrenches came in was very brittle, but the wrenches were fine.

24 piece tool set. I assume this was for bicycle repair or something.
