My new to me Made in USA snow removal tool: 1980's vintage Toro 521 with trusty Tecumseh 5hp motor. New skids, belts, some elbow grease and a lick of paint and it's ready to go. We had two decent snow dumps last year and I told my wife I wasn't doing any more shoveling.

I have no idea why the video loaded upside down. If anyone knows, please advise.
Nice machine, I just sold my overhauled 1980 826 to a buddy.

Be sure to check the auger shaft bearing and if it's loose you can replace it with the less expensive mtd one.

I don't really know the condition of the augur bearing but I ordered one online as a spare. OEM was only $13.

This is my first (and maybe last) snowblower, so I didn't know brands or much at all about them until I started fixing this one. My impression is that MTD is more cheaply made, e.g. plastic bushings instead of real axle bearings. This machine is definitely heavier than new ones I've seen in the stores. The parts to keep the Tecumseh going also seem to be available.

Yes that's them. Seems like a decent little kit. I've always just used a piece of whatever tubing I had around but I figured I'd upgrade. Besides, the handle is orange....it's not like I could just leave it on the truck

What's the part number? Need to text my Snap On driver.

Yes the toro is by far a better machine, when i overhauled mine last winter the oem auger bearing was 45$ and the mtd was 11..... after comparison there wasnt much diff so i went cheap.

You will enjoy using that machine this upcoming winter.

How is that Ryobi inspection camera? I have a non digital inspection scope, but I'd like one with a screen. Still debating getting one of the cheap USB phone cameras as often as I use it.

It's actually really good :dunno: $99 at Home Depot on a Saturday night so my expectations were not high but the resolution and clarity is really good. I highly recommend it

This impact generally has problems or it is only yours?
It is in my wishlist.

Dont know to be honest, im hoping its only mine, best transmission buster ive used to date, and im banging out clutches on 6 an 8 leggers at least once in a week.
Car clutches it dont sniff at. In all honesty it gets a prerty hard life.

Not the exact same, IR makes their own (assembled in USA). The Proto/MAC are clones from Professional Tools (Taiwan).

Yea i know its made in taiwan, the build quality of mine shows, but i cant get the ir one in the Y-uk without it breaking the bank.

Been wanting this for well over a year, saw in my Amazon wish list it dropped to $343 so I jumped on it! I didn't think it'd include the new 5.0 batteries as well!

I had a demo for a week before I bought it. So far so good. Haven't had anything too complicated with it yet though. Love the wireless and the fact that it's android based and bluetooth. I have it streaming I heart radio out in the shop now.

You can buy the same thing from Launch for close to 1k cheaper. My dealer threw in 2 extra years of updates when I brought up the price difference.

I was looking at the maxme but it doesn't seem that much cheaper

We have a solus edge. I miss the wireless of the verus. I'm deaf so I can't always hear solenoids click. With the wireless I can touch them

What is your dogs opinion? :)

She found it wasn't edible and wouldn't play with her so she lost interest. [emoji38][emoji482]

The rest of my order came on a second fed ex truck:

I'm probably the last person on earth to have the classic hard handle Craftsmen screwdrivers. Not that I needed them or they'll be any better than my Snap-On drivers, I just always wanted them.

A cheap 60w soldering iron with some accessories, China markers, and some good ol' American zip ties since all I ever bought before were cheapie harbor freight and Walmart ties.
