I'm interested in those extractors. The Irwin I've been using are pretty dissapointing.

I have those thread checkers... same set of sizes... I took them off the wire and made a "holder" for them that is contained in a plastic box with a handle... OMG I use them ALL THE TIME.
On the wire... they are a bit of a pain to use...

was uploading as you typed... While yours are black for metric... the larger size metric for me has the blue nail polish the larger SAE has red... I also dotted my two most used SAE sizes with red.

Nice! where did you buy the large metric set?
Got them all on Amazon. I found them searching large thread checker. I swear, I stopped putting them away, I use them so much... I never have to guess... I check before selecting any fastener.
I don't understand why you use thread checker so much.
I only use them when I want to replace rusty bolts and do not know their size.

I got a Makita DSS501Z 18V sircular saw today. I also got a blade for cutting metall for it. It is very light weight and the blade is 136mm.

Yes thats true. Depends how often you are doing it I suppose. I only deal with sae 90+% of the time at work so I am pretty familiar with it. You can generally tell just by looking at it with experience. If not you can measure the diameter and threads per inch with a scale.
That said, metric and pipe threads I am not nearly as familiar with. So while I probably wouldnt purchase those thread checks posted, a good thread pitch gauge or multiple ones for checking metric and pipe threads I find very useful.
Awesome! Thank you for that. I use the little guys non stop.
Very nice haul there![]()
