Got a Stihl ts400 for free today. A friend found it in the garbage and wasn't sure if it ran. He gave it to me knowing I like Stihl stuff. I had it running 15 min after arriving back at the shop... :rocker: its a little rough on the outside but nothing a can of paint can't fix.

Pull start was Frozen but broke free, Cylinder and piston looked clean, and it fired with a new plug without starting fluid. I cleaned the coil and rotor, blew it out, cleaned the filter and painted some of the parts so far so good.

And to think I almost bought one a few years back...

This looks like it's going to be pretty handy to have around.

I picked this up at Sears today on sale for $39.99
http://www.sears.com/craftsman-4-drawer-portable-tool-chest/p-00935424000P

4 Drawer portable tool chest. The drawers are ball bearing slides with a weight limit of 25lbs per drawer. They lock into place with the lid down.

I bought it keep a set of tools in the back of my pickup. I have a hard cover that locks on the back so they will stay safe. I'll keep it in place with a cargo bar that I already have.

I'm very happy with it and it's hard to beat for $39.99.

My first post!

Got some new (to me) ball and socket spark plug tools to hopefully make plug changes on my LS1 easier.

Also found a decent deal on a brand new Snap On 3/8 impact.

Yes, it looks interesting. How long is it, Part#, and where did you get it?

Part number is AREA0808, about 6" long to where the ends pivot. Hex and square are both nice and tight.

I got it off eBay from a Latvian seller, I was just browsing Toptul and wanting to find something to try the brand out. It was only about $15 shipped.

Nice saw, what we run now, better than the husqvarna/ Partner saws we used to have, they are all much better than they used to be in the days when they didn't run decent air filtration.

Thanks. Good to hear. yeah the filter setup is pretty impressive probably what save the inside of this saw... from looking like the outside... so far so good I cleaned it and painted it up. I made a few cuts yesterday even the blade is still decent. It's amazing what people will throw out these days.

Nice haul. I have the CT761 in Hi-vis and love it. Used it to strip down the intake to replace coil packs and spark plugs on my wife's car.

Picked up this complete Proto 3/4" drive set with some extras thrown in. Everything is in decent shape, paid $100. Everything has owners marks which isn't ideal for some, but I could really care less. I got them from a pleasant old fella who has retired and is selling off some of his tools.

There are no words to express how jealous I am. Used or not, those are beautiful.

I ordered one, plus the 18" flexible extension. Figured why not, they were like $32 shipped. Thanks for posting!
