Just a few things. Since KC Tool is offering a giveaway on the Journal, I picked up a few things from their website to try out. A Felo offset handle bit ratchet, a Felo 1/4 drive metric socket set, a wooden handled P2 screwdriver, and a red/black Felo smart handle. I think the smart handle is pretty cool. It takes any 1/4 hex bit. It also has a metal center section that when pressed forward and down, pivots to make a tee handle.
Also pictured next to a quarter, is a tiny Carlyle 1/4 drive quick release flex head ratchet measuring 3.5 inches long overall.

This ones pretty rare.

Its a spring compressor bar for flatheads. It also works wonders for levering between knuckles and balljoints with less risk of ruining the boot.

Air hammer with hammer bit or special tool preferred of course for clean balljoint seperation.

I was looking for a socket set for my truck and through research found this set. It hit every requirements I had mainly American made and full range of sizes needed for typical repairs (had to be metric for my 4Runner). The bonus was the metal box which would have been an upgrade on any other set. It was budget friendly to top it off. I added the thumb wheel ratchet which I’m glad I did because I didn’t know I’ve been missing that all these years.

I was a bit worried as there are a lot of mixed reviews of SK out there but I must say I’m a fan and plan to purchase more of their products in the future as I add to and upgrade tools.

Have you tried the caliper kit yet? How is it? I’ve never seen a kit like that but it looks like it would be an awesome kit to have

It's pretty nice, cuts the time down significantly. Even has a head for pressing in pistons but it works better as a winder.

Got it off Amazon it’s not on their site, I think because it’s new old stock but can’t confirm. Here is the SAE listing title.

SK Hand Tool 94515 15Piece Full Range 3/8” SAE - Metal Box,

Well here my most recent procurement. A NOS now defunct Armstrong feed thru ratchet set.

IMG_2091.jpg

Now for the fun part of the back story. Many years ago I bought the matching socket head set from graingers and at the time wasn't aware the ratchet didn't come with the set, were talking maybe 15-20 years ago?! Well now I finally got a ratchet yo go with that set :bounce:

The extensions are the only things I need. They come up on eBay from time to time with reasonable prices. Mine are in a metal case. I had them long before decent ratcheting wrenches were readily available. I also have the 1/2" drive set.

Steelman Pro spark plug boot cutters. If the boots tear off the spark plugs that are installed deep in the head, it can be a pain to pick out the remains enough to get a socket on the plug. This should grind the boot down quick. They feel like high quality including the case. Can't wait to try on a 3.5L Ecoboost with over 100,000 miles on the original plugs.

So, I see Ford is still driving the market for problem solving spark plug tools.

Is there any way to order those specifically? The part # is the same and I don't see them online. My dealer never has them, I want to get some for my girlfriend.

Damn strouty and I thought my 5ft wide 600lb rated 4 pull out shelf unit was pretty cool.

You win

Are those shelves 250 or 400lb rated?

They are 400, but it is only a 47” wide cabinet. I was just going to buy some of the pull out trays, but the cabinet was cheaper than buying 5 of them, including shipping.
