My first proto tools on my first zoro order. I've killed two reversible gearwrench 10mm's in the last year. The second one felt cheaper than the first so I figured I'd up the quality on this one. Back drag is tighter than the gw's, hopefully it'll break in some. 8f058d763b4d3ab19f648745cae6526e.jpg

I have several of those Proto wrenches that I also replaced gearwrenches with (wanted to get rid of the chinesium from my tool box). Unfortunately I've had numerous problems with the 12mm size, and had to warranty replace it twice now after very little light use. Real shame since its USA made, cost a ton (compared to competitors).

Haven't had any issues with my SK X frames, or my old gearwrenches (but china).

Hope you have better luck.

just picked up the new 120 tooth Stanley fatmax 1/2" drive ratchet. build quality is superior to the other Stanley ratchets I've used, plus it was on sale at one of the big box stores here in Canada for $30.292f1aa0809b6ef2f8ca2f6846c86883.jpg8f29cf6009733de33e817d2a7079d84c.jpg

Greetings from Norway! Im 25 years old and im just a weekend warrior(diyer), not a pro. I was tired of lending tools from my dad so i decided to start building up my own tools set. After reading alot here on garage journal I ended up with the following tools: makita 1/2 impact, makita drill, pb swiss small screwdrivers, SK X Frames ratcheting wrenches, gearwrench 3/8 metric/SAE socket set with the 120XP ratchet, nws pliers, sunex automotive impact sockets and the awesome AC hydraulic 2 ton low profile Jack, manufactured in Danmark. Expensive but worth it!

View media item 78149Radiator hose picks without sharp points. One can never have too many extractors. The dial gauge was made in Taiwan, but I wanted a dial type, and apparently those aren't that easy to come by. And it was on promo.

A few Knipex and Wera items........................

The XL and XXL Cobras. The XXL takes a huge jump in size over the XL.

Wera VDE Kompakt handle and two square drive blades. These have very solid fit for an interchangeable screwdriver. The other double ended blade is for the Wera Vario handle.

Yes sir. Double u joints... they also have impact versions for twice as much.

48548,

I own the Ko-ken 1/2" drive impact double u-joint socket.

I did not know that Ko-ken manufactured the chrome 1/4" and 3/8" drive double u-joint sockets. What are the part #'s?

Thanks,

Dave

Haven’t bought many tools lately, even Black Friday was pretty slim. Did hunt around for 7/16” brad point drill bit, a size which none of the big boxes carry. Finally found it at a local Do It Best affiliate, the “Crafty Beaver”. b38c07dd2b64a71c8cb8aa0c974c4b7d.jpg

Would like a review of the ko-ken double u joint after you have used them. Curious how much they bend. Look really nice!

Was a good day. New wide guy 1032 delivered (crackhead deal)

7 lista lockers that dang near match my new roll cab and a snappy Wilton Vise for 100 bones.

Couple of the lockers will be integrated into my lista/vidmar Bench. Another one or two will end up as end cabs on my other boxes

Well if you get to feelin like the deals on the roll cab and lockers were good enough I'll take the vise off your hands. Shoot I'll even give you a few extra bucks over the $100 for your time!

Vise is already gone. My snap on dealer bought it for his home shop. Was part of the deal on the leftover rollcab.

Apparently end of the year on tool boxes is like cars.. write them off. Ok. The color wasn’t my first, 2nd or third choice... the long legs (drawers) and most importantly, price is what won my heart over

Bought this CDI 1/2” drive torque wrench 20% off from Amazon. I have had the 3/8 and 1/4 drive for a year or so. These CDI/SO torque wrenches are pretty fine...7c232958592f9ae4f73c7ad7b79cbac7.jpg
