Awesome. Can more of these be had?
Yes, go to ebay, type in "SK 70128" and it's the one that says "2 pack" and don't let the shipping scare you, put it in your cart and select shipping options and change it to priority instead of UPS and the shipping cost will drop over 30%. Seller is SMC89 and it is actually Coleman's Military Surplus. They are nice screwdrivers. Many people prefer cushion grip and rubber handles but acetate wipes clean very easily and I always have oily gloves on at work.

Can you explain why the swivel sockets are so good compared to the gearwrench.

The biggest thing is the overall length. Gearwrench 1/4" sockets are annoying long. This difference in length, coupled with being able to turn a fastener at a tighter angle make it significantly better in confined spaces. The SO are also manufactured to a higher standard, and it shows. It's a tangible difference, but difficult to describe without letting you hold them in your own hands. I would agree the MSRP is a hard pill to swallow, but I got my set about 50% off.

Here is 10mm gearwrench next to a 10mm snap on. Notice the pins on the snap on are welded, and then ground flush. No chance they will back out/fall out.

I don't want to hijack the new tools thread, so if you want to read more, I started another thread on it a while back which lead to me upgrading my GearWrench sockets. Thread here: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=394191

Which Chassis Ear did you get, wired or wireless? I've been looking at those lately. Please let us know how it works for you. What did it and the tank set you back?

New to me.

Dewalt sander was a $30 Ace special last weekend. I needed one and stumbled onto a pretty good deal for it. Plumb bob I needed too because I can't seem to find one I've had for a long time now, an 8oz hanging on an old metal chalkbox. Was looking at a Mullan, but thought I try out this fancy-schmancy plasticky Tajima, as it has a few extra features that look like they could be useful (hangs on 2x's and has a magnet base, built in pin to tap in, etc) and I dunno, perhaps a little less likely to misplace it? We'll see. The Craftsman stapler is 'made in usa' and looks like it might be a rebadged Arrow PowerShot Pro which is the same stapler I've been using for a couple decades now. The bow saw, is, well, a bow saw. It looks/feels like it might be pretty decent and was on sale for $8 which between it and the stapler put me just over the $30 min for $10 off in SYW freecash.

Yes it is, I like them the only thing is that the drive end gets pretty big on the small sockets(6-8mm). Clean broaching and decent price to.

Many thanks! I think I'll pick up a set to go with the new Milwaukee stubby 3/8" impact wrench.

I went with the 1/2" on the sockets and impact... more useful to me.

Picked up this little unit at Home Depot on sale. Gonna give it a shot for taking the rust down on the 'ol Monte, since I won't have my shop compressor for a while yet. We'll see how it goes.

How about a Milwaukee angle grinder? This one replaces a 20 yo Black & Decker that has a melting boot.

They appear very similar except the Sealey SH3815HV is 6-21mm but skips the 20, while the OEM is 6-20mm. You can also get the SAE in green also if you buy the SAE and metric separate. f82dd8838c55635abfd823a690421176.jpg

This tool worked great. 09 honda odyssey rear rotor replacement. The 4 screws used in the production process were rusted in. All I was doing was messing up the heads of the screws. Bought this and after 9 hits with the 2 lb. Hammer all 4 screws were free.
