I made two frivolous purchases this week. A Milwaukee M18 fuel 3/8" impact (210 ft lbs) and a Snap-on SAE nut driver set. Got a deal on both so I don't feel too bad. :lol_hitti

And Metabo 4.5" flat head angle grinder. I was never able to swallow the $230-240 retail on these, but this was AWD at $175. Still spendy for a grinder but realizing it's a special use/special situation tool I'm happy.

#1 son bought this GE thickness planer for $100. 220 Volt. Runs perfect and came with extra knives. Its old and heavy. Needed my cherry picker to get it off the truck.

Be aware those super low cost units are 3ph only and the phasing can not be altered.
Yep. As cheap as they are you can almost buy a phase converter and still be in it less than a single phase unit.

Got a new case for my most used tool...my PC. Previous case was a little too small for use with the CPU cooler, so got a mid tower.

During the case swap.

I had to look up the purpose of that tool: A valve stem remover.

more of a valve stem installer. I mean it does both, but I've been know to rip them out with a regular pair of pliers. It requires a lighter touch to install them though :bounce:

More of an installer. It appears to actually be a Lang 1410 with a Snap-on hard handle on it. But the price was nearly the same and I could have the Snap-on TODAY and not in 9-12 days like the Lang. The new version has an Instinct handle, and I'm not fond of those. My dealer had this one "forever".

Something most people will never do unless you work in a shop or have your own tire machine at home.

Do not work in a shop or have a tire machine.

The vast majority of the times that I have used the valve core tools, have been on split-rim wheels with tubes.

I use a stem tool on lawn tractor tires...

I forgot to mention. I trimmed the mat that came with my box to fit the stainless top. (For use when you don't have a work top) Way less glare! Absolutely love this work top now. Used a straight edge and Ofla razor, and it looks OEM. Trimmed it to sit along the inner bend radius of the work top. :)

Decided to go ahead and upgrade a bunch of my 3/8" drive stuff since my dealer had the BOGO free promo running. Will have a ton of Gearwrench sockets for sale soon....

Nice box. Boy have you ever been filling it up.

Is the hutch pegboard pattern and accessories that fit it exclusive to snap-on?

Nothing exciting, just adding some ratchets to the work tool box:

Also received my eBay brake tools, but haven't opened them yet.

Got a long way to go! Since I'm using VIM mag rails..it's hilarious how empty that top drawer looks. I could probably fit every socket Snap On makes from 1/4" to 3/4" drive using the magrails. Since I've only been needing metric stuff...that top drawer is ~15% full? If that...

The pattern is called slot & dot. Snap On makes a variety of accessories, but thanks to the "dots", it's universal. You get a packet of screws that screw into the "dots." You also get a ton of various clips; that's how you see people hanging their ratchets. As long as whatever you're trying to hang has a hole, you can secure it to the board using the screws. I've seen TV's hung, Wera screwdriver racks, pneumatic ratchet holders, etc.

I like the stainless top but really prefer the rubber mat, I did the same thing when I had my 68 epiq with the hutch, the glare was really messing with my eyes. I also didn't like the glare on the front strip of stainless, so I cut a second mat 1/2" larger for the recess, then cut a 3rd mat tight against the hutch and it came out flush with the stainless top.

Been thinking about making a diffuser for the light bar. That would take away the harshness.

I would like to see that diffuser, I honestly don't know how full time mechanics deal with the glare off the stainless top all day, it blinds me then you turn around to what your working on and its soo dark, like walking inside after shoveling snow.
