Did you buy those triple squares through Amazon? Make sure those are not counterfeit. There are a lot of Amazon reviewers stating that they received a generic box of triple squares, they were supposed to received ones through the Neiko brand. I ended up going the Capri Tools route.

ordered one already! you're late to the gameGot a nice starter Air Compressor kit with 5 different fasteners and 200 nails/staples with each one in addition to a hose all for a good $289. I think its great for starting, I am using it for a project in my backyard.
What do you guys think?
It came with:
1. 6 Gallon Compressor
2. 18-Gauge 1-5/8" Narrow Crown Stapler
3. 18-Gauge 2" Brad Nailer
4. 16-Gauge 2-1/2" Straight Finish Nailer
5. 20 Gauge 9/16" Fine Wire Staple
6. 23 Gauge 1" Pin Nailer
7. Air Hose - 1/4" x 25' PVC air hose
Not bad

I've not considered Neiko to be generic. They're pretty well known I thought for good bang-for-the-buck stuff. I've seen tools like their strut compressors where the Neiko ones are made in Taiwan with decent reviews, and the generic versions are made in China with reviews where they've failed in less than desirable ways. I assumed that was the case for the triple square sockets they were talking about.Ummm. I think Neiko is a generic brand?![]()

Upon cleaning/organizing the garage this fall I realized I have lost/misplaced more than a few sockets of the past few years.
Yesterday Canadian Tire put their Maximum line of sockets on sale @ 66% off so I thought I'd just fill in the holes. The finish on these isn't fantastic, I was a little surprised considering this is their higher tier of tools and in the past I have always found the plating to be nice. These aren't even as nice as my 15 year old Mastercraft sockets they are replacing. Oh well, they'll do for a shade tree hack like myself.

where's the knurled bases on the Canadian sets?a blue rail doesn't make them the same.where's the knurled bases on the Canadian sets?

Same type rails in same colors. Same type blister packaging in the same orientation. I just noticed those similarities and asked if they might both be Apex.
As far as knurling goes Apex makes both Craftsman and Gearwrench swivel sockets and puts knurling on one and not the other, so not sure that means a hill of beans.

Right you are on that one set, or maybe two? Good catch. There are two other sets of deeps all the same length though. I don't recall any of the GW or Craftsman sets of deeps having different length sockets in the same set.The maximum deeps are different lengths GW are the same length on the entire set
I have a few sets of the spring rails I got for 99 cents each a few years ago and they’re horrific. I ditched them because I thought they were just too wimpy for my impact sockets but I realize now they’re too wimpy for any sockets. Can’t keep my miscellaneous chrome sockets together in the drawer let alone to pick them up.
Waste of 99¢

Snap on by https://www.flickr.com/photos/90916045@N02/, on FlickrGot this combination last week. Needed to remove some bolts in a very thight space where a can't rotate any tool and where normal size sockets don't fit.
So I got this 2025MAX angle impact from Ingersoll Rand and short impact sockets from Ko-ken.

BTW the 2025MAX is much stronger than expected. Some rusted bolts on the brake claws, that I couldn't release with my no-name chinese 1/2" impact, brooke loose immediately with the 2025MAX.
I got them from a dutch online shop Air Tools Emporium:
