imagehostingLol. Most of that price is almost certainly the logo, not the magnets. Not surprised it works well, anyway.Noticed new magnetic organizer trays. A little spendy, but figured I would give one a try. The magnets at the bottom of each tray are surprisingly strong; the magnets are probably why this is $35

Those sure are pretty.
I made an Excel Spreadsheet and put the lengths in for the brands I was interested in. I compared SK, Stahwille, TOPTUL, Wright, and Gedore, both standard and long length where applicable.. I entered the lengths for 8, 10, 13, 17 and 19mm. Then I did an average length from those 5 values. SK Standards were the shortest, Gedore 7XL were the longest. Wright was right in the middle. It was the longest standard wrench.
My go to wrench in my box are my Craftsman Professionals, which I believe were made by SK and are long pattern. If I were buying new I think I'd get the Gedore 7XL.
WrightGrip Wrenches, 7-22mm. Chrome is great, all but one wrench is straight as an arrow, and the price was good (138 dollars) as its a rather complete set, but I'm a little underwhelmed, and its my own fault. They're a little shorter than I expected, I knew they are not long pattern, just thought they might be a tad longer, anyway as such the beams look rather beefy. Should I return them and buy proper long pattern wrenches (Carlyle or...snap on I guess?) or should I use them? I know they should/would be a pleasure to use, but I suppose I don't really know until I use them, and I wouldn't wanna return something at that point. My long pattern gearwrench wrenches have served me well, but needed a second set so I could keep these at home.
The word on the street is that with Wright's beefy beam profile, you're able to pull on them harder without having to suffer the pain of the beam cutting into your hand.
I happen to think that with Wright's beam profile, they'd totally dominate the wrench market if they were to ever produce a long pattern.
I kinda like thinner beams, more aesthetically pleasing but I agree, its probably better, and if these where long pattern I would be in love. I'm excited to use them, but again a little underwhelmed due to my own fault, but alas! Waiting on a nice ernst wrench rack to arrive tomorrow and then they'll be ready for use
Have you ever tried a Snap-on combination wrench? They have a thin wide beam profile. Not great for pulling on without gloves, but excellent for flipping around in your hands.
Congratulations!![]()
That long one is cool.
Didn't know they made them that long.

My Thanksgiving weekend order from KC Tools finally showed up last week and very glad I grabbed the pliers wrench as it was a great deal at $32. Still waiting for a back ordered Gedore bottle opener.

Would you mind sharing where you found that set for $138? I've almost bought that set several times this week, but haven't seem any deals that good.
Thanks

I use spring clamps to hold my tape measures at work and I had to dig to find US made Pony and CH Hanson clamps. Bessey is just a name at this point
