After replacing the clutch on my daily driver '02 Tacoma 5 speed, 4x4, I found my aging eyes having trouble seeing the small embossed socket sizes on my SK metric 3/8" drive sockets.

I've been impressed with the quality of my Koken Whitworth 3/8" drive sockets, I decided to purchase a set of 6 pt metric Koken sockets primarily for the large font so I can read the size!:lol_hitti Franks Tools for the win.

I've also got that HF low profile jack and like it.

Stubby earthquake 1/2" drive and some shorty sockets. This thing has incredible power.
Tired of the longer Earthquake getting jammed in tight spaces.

While doing an upgrade to the bench grinders, I spotted Menard's 11% sale was back on. I checked out total $$ of rebates on hand and decided to replace the small Skil bench grinder.

8" coarse wire wheel came from HD.

Please let us know how it runs looking to replace a grinder.

I usually drill the socket out. I even ordered a Snap on 6mm to fill the tray. It showed up with no hole at all. Took a 3flute carbide drill but I got through it.

Just yesterday I filled my 1/4"-drive metric Hanson tray with OEMTOOLS sockets and had to enlarge the hole in the 4.5mm standard and deep sockets. All other sizes slipped right on.

Fun haul on the truck today.

SO finally released their own version of ratcheting swivel box end wrenches. Had to have them! Glad I held off on buying a Taiwan set with spline drive.

Also picked up this USA made Blue Point locking 1/4" drive extension set.

And a few small things. The larger BP magnetic pick up tool and SO 5/8" swivel spark plug socket with the rubber insert.

Not reversible and no extended box end. They have some improvements to make. :)

Where'd you find that? I've been looking in the SK Socket of the Month and is brings up no impacts, only chrome sockets in 3/8 or 1/2 in drives. Thanks

Its this month only, per the email. Just put one in your cart and the January code will work on it. Dont start by browsing sockets of the month.

Thanks, after seeing anndel's post...I googled SK socket of the month...and didn't see the impacts...but found the pro club...signed up...and thanks to you, shanny, I was able to find the flexzone...

I haven't yet received my coupon code but was able to find it in a different thread on here...and it worked...

Not a bad start to the return on a $50 investment.

What makes those wrenches swivel rather than flex? Picture looks like flex to me rather than swivel. I am not even sure how a swivel wrench would work.

I think it's just a mixup on the nomenclature. They are definitely flex heads.

Yep. I type out my posts before posting pics. Since I had a swivel socket in there, I'm just dyslexic or something and called them swivel head wrenches instead of flex head wrenches.

Wrench extender

I picked up that same one a while back and have used it a few times with good results. I haven't yet used the square drive hole to add a breaker bar for length.

Where I found it to be particularly useful was with 4 way angle head wrenches, which are typically short.

Stopped by KCTOOL so I could get my hands on the Felo, Wera, Wiha handles to see what felt good to me and pick up a new Bit Driver and a Magnetizer. Them to HD for the wire strippers

I was in the market for a cordless reciprocating saw. I spent an extreme amount of time deliberating staying with Sears Craftsman or starting an additional cordless platform (and which one).

I saw a Craigslist ad Monday morning and bought these for $30 after gas money. The seller said the batteries were dead. I have not tested the charger. The impact driver does not work. The drill, saws, light and radio work.

My math breakdown on the final cost:

5.5" saw $7
reciprocating saw $7
drill $5
radio $5
bag $2
light $2
charger $2

Do they actually have a showroom now ?

I believe a few years ago they did not.

No, But I thought they did since at check out it offers pick up at store, So that's why I stopped in. They do sale over the counter and you can handle the tool you are looking at, which is nice.

I'm not sure if you meant for me to put a value on the dead batteries or how much new batteries will cost. The dead ones are about worthless, and I already have Sears Craftsman Li-Ion batteries and chargers.
