Franks Tools for the win. While doing an upgrade to the bench grinders, I spotted Menard's 11% sale was back on. I checked out total $$ of rebates on hand and decided to replace the small Skil bench grinder.
8" coarse wire wheel came from HD.
I usually drill the socket out. I even ordered a Snap on 6mm to fill the tray. It showed up with no hole at all. Took a 3flute carbide drill but I got through it.
Fun haul on the truck today.
SO finally released their own version of ratcheting swivel box end wrenches. Had to have them! Glad I held off on buying a Taiwan set with spline drive.
Still made in Taiwan though? The ratcheting mechanism is patented by a Taiwanese inventor![]()
Went to Sears and picked up some craftsman sockets using my points. $33 worth of sockets and I paid $0.39 haha
SK socket of the month this month offered a flexzone impact
i went with 19mm, it's so weirdly shiny and smooth...

Its this month only, per the email. Just put one in your cart and the January code will work on it. Dont start by browsing sockets of the month.

What makes those wrenches swivel rather than flex? Picture looks like flex to me rather than swivel. I am not even sure how a swivel wrench would work.Fun haul on the truck today.

I think it's just a mixup on the nomenclature. They are definitely flex heads.
If you zoom in on the picture you can see the coo is USA.

I was in the market for a cordless reciprocating saw. I spent an extreme amount of time deliberating staying with Sears Craftsman or starting an additional cordless platform (and which one).
I saw a Craigslist ad Monday morning and bought these for $30 after gas money. The seller said the batteries were dead. I have not tested the charger. The impact driver does not work. The drill, saws, light and radio work.
My math breakdown on the final cost:
5.5" saw $7
reciprocating saw $7
drill $5
radio $5
bag $2
light $2
charger $2

Do they actually have a showroom now ?
I believe a few years ago they did not.
You forgot to price the batteries, start over.

These came in the other day.
