I will try that I been breaking it free with another ratchet then allowing the power ratchet to do the rest of the work. I love it

You’ll love it even more not swapping ratchets. Just use it like you would any other ratchet.
Unless it’s super tight and might break the ratchet, then use a breaker bar or strong ratchet first. I’m surprised though what I’ve been able to break free before I start feeling the case flex.

I will try it out today, reinstalling a ladder rack on my Astro and gonna check brakes I just did on my Camry since after a few miles on the parkway sounds like I may have a slight occasional rub

Pretty stoked I can use this in my garage. I've been hunting around for an oil drain dolly that was short enough to work with the Dannmar MX6. $40-something with a coupon at hobo freight.

A few eBay purchases:

37b73cb36783705d5c98c8aa38e92558.jpg

Bahco 5 and 6 piece file sets. Really like these and glad I went with them over piecing together NOS Nicholson. Handles are comfortable, clean easily, and the finish is great.

Also the Mayhew punch set.

Put these to work along with the Gedore snap-ring pliers last weekend rebuilding the front CV on my Subaru. Excellent tool choices!

Can we get some part numbers on the files please?

It worked good as a regular ratchet to break free the 14 and 17mm bolts holding the break pads and calipers on. The spin them off quick and effortlessly. This has been a great addition to my tool collection.

Yep, that is one sweeeeeeeet score.

And how did you luck into a pawn shop that sells stuff for less than 1.5x MSRP?

It's one of the few left I can find deals. They sell all sockets for $.25 or $.50 a piece. Found many snapon, Matco, mac, etc for very cheap.

I've got that one and it does work great, but I was surprised it doesn't have a cap so you can take the oil in to recycle. You have to pour it into another can to transport the oil.

If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you know that the first weekend in April is the “Portland Swap Meet”. If you like old cars/trucks/tools, this is the place to be.
Here are the “gems” I found this year. Total spend $50:

An assortment of USA-made C-clamps.

40591096583_fcc6fdf72b_c.jpg

Two are Williams drop forged w/ ACME thread screws.
One is a Brink & Cotton and the other unbranded other than “52”

A Starrett 161-A Parallel clamp.

An Eclipse (Made in England) V-Block with two clamps

An Eclipse (made in England) “171” Automatic Center Punch

33680424298_9318607ddb_c.jpg

A nice little USA-made Palmgren #30 3-Sided Drill Press Vise

A nice assortment of Grobet, Osberg, and USA-made Simonds files

A really old Maydole tiny (2oz) jewelers ball-peen hammer. I don’t know why, but I just love this thing!!!

Needed a small portable vac for around the shop/house. Picked this little guy up at Walmart today for $19.95.

I tested it and it has pretty good suction. The hose has a tab on the end that clicks into the main body and keeps it from pulling out. Also it hangs on the wall so it won't take up any floor/bench space which means I won't be tripping over it or having to move it out of the way every time I turn around.

It'll do.

I have that one as well.

I bought a 2" plug from a plumbing supply and added a large O-ring as a seal.

I also shortened each tube a bit to work under my mid-rise lift.

Ever since a co-worker borrowed my Xcelite mini cutters and broke them (I don't know what he was trying to do with them) I wanted to buy another set. I have been on the lookout, and I finally found a guy who had a pile of NOS USA cutters for a price I couldn't resist:

Nope. It was a small shop that I worked part time at. The full timers were always "borrowing" my tools on my days off. Nobody would own up to breaking them either. I bitched at my boss and he bought me a set of HF orange-handled crappers. I don't mind HF, but their early cutters sucked big time. And HF is no replacement for Xcelite, lol.

I started locking my box after that.

Not expensive or fancy by any means, but I needed a spanner wrench for my Kenmore washer, to get the tub out so I could degrease it.

It’s rough cast, and I may polish it up a bit, but for a tool I may use maybe 1 time every 10 years, I may not worry about it.....
