They don't cut wire at all unfortunately. Are you saying that you would just bin them? Bit patronising btw. I'm a technician so need tools that function to make a living.
Edit...... 2 mins with a file and they now work ok. The cutters are a design that I have not seen before. One side has an edge as expected but the other side is a flat surface. Like a knife on a chopping board rather than two knives coming together.
I specifically said you aren't, btw. Look at that, a 2 min fix vs an exchange. In all honestly, which was easier?

Because the company they rep can’t do quality control?
B/c many members (not lemons) are more interested in looking at a tool than using it. i.e. superficial chrome spec or paint flaw deep inside a socket == demanding return/replace of an entire set. I can imagine why truck drivers in some areas are reluctant to deal with people who might fall into the latter sort when they're already working hard to stay afloat.
