Vessel Megadora eight piece Jawsfit screwdriver set. Comfortable handles, nice knurling on blade shaft. Phillips sizes have teeth on the edges of their tips.

Gearwrench two piece 1/4 & 3/8 90 tooth comfort grip flex head ratchet set. New orange and black color scheme, slightly different shape comfort grip handles, nice crisp action. supposedly hardened pawl gear. One thing I don't care for out of the box is the 1/8 inch gap between the ratchet head edges and the the handle fork. pictured next to a well used Gearwrench 60 tooth flex head for comparison. :wtf:

If you get along with the handles size/shape you should enjoy using those Megadoras.

Those GW flex ratchets look downright goofy with that gap. Fail!

Home Depot tool deals of the day got me Monday. Got way more than I expected too. The bare tool is around $95, this battery kit is around $188 from HD and I got all this with free two day shipping for $128! It's pretty quiet too. Stoked!

5/16th to 1" 3/8th short handle.
1/4 to 1" flank drive plus
sk & snap on wobbly sockets 1/4 drive
1/4 shallow and deep sockets
3/8 shallow and deep sockets
box end ratcheting spanners

All imperial. All snap on apart from wobblys
Not pictured is the snap on/blue point cantilever toolbox for the total sum of the equivalent of $260.

Quite happy as imperial is difficult to come by in europe.

How are the chain clip pliers? I got a couple Tsonuda pliers already and really like them and I was considering getting a pair of the chain clip ones for a buddy that's big into cycling.

I’ll have to let you know after I put them to use a little. I’m hoping they work well on motorcycle chains. A lot of the Bicycle chains have flush pins so they won’t grab well.

Made in Japan. I bought this because it was said to hold the 1/4 hex bits nice and firmly. Shame about Wiha bits going to Vietnam, I was going to buy a few sets but that's not likely now. Could use the longer bits with it, and get an extension for use with regular bits.

BTW, here is a Craftsman version of the above: HERE I don't know the COO, but it might be Japan too? If so I'd assume it was the same product at half the price.

Ahh okay thanks, maybe I'll order a pair myself first and see if they're even worth bothering my buddy with them.

I bought the larger 2 way KT-800 pliers last year specifically for motorcycle chains. I've used them on up to 530 chain and they are excellent.

I bought a Craftsman-branded version of that kit and use it a lot! It sure does make things easier to put back together sometimes.

I have the same SO branded version.

Yup the Craftsman version is made by Vessel. Vessel is one of the best manufacturers for JIS style screws. If you check out the Vessel jaws fit or the Impacta many people have them here. Good buy there!

Yes the craftsman is the same made in Japan. I purchased a couple of different colors from sears when they marked them down

Those work pretty well depending on the use of them with heavy tools. I wish the magnets were stronger but for the price you can’t complain

As you could see a few pages back I ordered the wood handled Felo screwdrivers from Menards. When they got here they were accompanied by an identical box with an identical shipping label. I was thinking maybe they accidentally shipped me two or something until I picked up the second box that weighed THIRTY POUNDS. Yeah, the shipping label had my info on it but everything else said MSC. So the next day I called Bondhus who they apparently drop ship from and went over the paperwork with them and long story short they emailed me their FedEx account number and I sent the package back on its way. Today this shows up with the PO # THANK YOU GIFT. I appreciate it, thank you!

Do you know what was in that thirty pound box? That's a nice stubby ball end hex key set.

Yeah it was a stock order, like 20 T25 bit 5 packs, 30 7/16 hex bits, 130 T-handle T15 etc etc. I could have kept it and even selling everything for a dollar I'd have made out well but their mistake or not I still consider that stealing. Their hex keys are what made me a fan of Bondhus when I bought their double ball end hex keys for a motorcycle intake last year. I liked them so much I bought the metric set as well just in case. Getting this set was quite the pleasant surprise.

Not exactly a tool, but a home for tools - US General "Tech Cart" $89 @ HF
qQe9IH.jpg

It was a bit of a PITA to put together - the instructions aren't great and a list of tools (13mm wrench and ratchet). But ambiguity and vagueness was a nice challenge and it worked out. A swivel ratchet is quite handy here, but there are a couple spots where you'll need the wrench.

Good for you Legion Prime, these days not many people would take the time to make things right. Hey, maybe the intended recipient is GJ member who was about to post a rant about not getting his order. :) Well done.

Just remember to follow the directions and register online and check on the registration online. Sometime you have to mail in a copy of the invoice. I love their power tools and the warranty of great if you follow the directions.

I decided to “retire” my old craftsman USA sockets for a complete set of Tekton 1/2, 3/8 & 1/4 sockets. Used the Ernst socket boss rails to organize them all. The 3/8 12 point set should arrive tomorrow. For the money the Tekton set is excellent. On par if not better than my old Craftsman USA stuff from the 1990s. The chrome job on them is superb.

That's just beautiful! I've got the Tekton 1/4" sockets and need to complete my 3/8" drive, especially the metric.

See here https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=8314665

I'd be glad to provide a retirement home for Craftsman 3/8 drive sockets. :)
