New to me Snap-on flare nut wrenchs. I’ve read these are the best and they are my first snap-on tools.

I was wondering the same thing, it looks pretty handy

***********, PM hammersmadeinusa and ask about stubby's cousin.
Its a special hammer they are trying out. Costs around $50 and I think they are making them in red, green, and blue.

A few new things.

A pack of Wera PZ2 bits (10pk for $5 on Amazon!)

i-Ln7hP6j.jpg

A Snap-On PB900 Bit Case (with Metric markings). I have an older one of these that has all imperial size marked in it, the new ones can be ordered with imperial or metric. I just like how easy it is to get bits in and out of this case and I feel like it is organized well. Loaded with some Wiha and Dewalt bits for now, but looking to fill it with some Zephyr bits.

Lastly, I found a good deal on this set of Wiha VDE screwdrivers and I like that they have 3 Flat and 3 Phillips sizes as opposed to a lot of sets that had other combinations. Looking forward to using them as a lot of you have had very nice things to say about the Wiha SoftFinish screwdrivers.

Swag Off-road Portaband table
2ea99f3c07be4fb9a82d26e85ed49b4c.jpg

Bought one of these several years ago, absolutely love it. My portaband has spent 99% of it’s life mounted to it. Ingenious design.

Best Craftsman screwdrivers ever made. Right after I discovered they discontinued them, I immediately bought a bunch more on feeBay. They really fit well in your hand and seem to be very durable.

Only tried to insert one of the cartridges so far. Man it’s a tough go to get it to latch into the handle. Lol 6a23721659897c20ec181d8d3fbcfec0.jpga5ecb195245e0a9fa742e21b850e0254.jpg5e6d9e34e685adde05e28198e92baedb.jpg

I get a text from my son this morning. He works in the Collision Dept. at a new car dealership. He sends a photo of a Low-Rise Scissor Lift and asks me to bring my trailer and take it home for him. His boss (body shop manager) is on a cleanup / reorganization blitz and told him to get rid of it as it had been sitting unused in the corner of the shop for years. Son asks if he can take it home, boss says Yes, just get it out of here. Son is stoked, an operating HD commercial lift for FREE!

I arrive at the dealership with my trailer and we remove the wood ramps so that we can move it to the door. The power/pump unit is on wheels and hooks on one end of the lift so it can be moved around like a boat trailer. This thing is heavy, it takes 3 of us to roll it to the trailer. I hook up my winch cable and drag it up on to my trailer, son is really stoked now. Just then his boss comes over and says that he can't have it after all. Apparently another employee saw us loading it up and ran to the dealership General Manager crying foul. This guy has known the GM for years, they go to lunch together everyday. He also has taken a lot of stuff home over the years with the permission of his buddy the GM. Son is unhappy, make that very unhappy. We are betting that the lift will end up in the other employee's garage soon. So this has to be classified as "Show your new tool that almost arrived".

That really *****. I'd be inclined to tell the boss, I already have it, it's on my "contractor's" trailer and he'll only unload it after he's paid the $300 hauling fee which I was going to do at my house. Since it's here, that bill is on you!

Received my Amazon warehouse deals order of Vim deep E torx sockets and crankbolt sockets for changing a Honda timing belt and water pump. Also grabbed some special edition rebranding NWS pliers from Lux tools (OBI Box store brand).

Got a few goodies recently for a b-day gift. :bounce:

Another (larger) Fisco measuring tape. I like these enough that I've given them as gifts:

Eklind hex keys in their "short" style. I already have some extra long hex keys, so I figured why not have some extra short as well?

Some more hex extractors:

And last but not least, a nice US-made Osborn file card to replace the absolute POS, import-junk, Mercer branded one that I received from Empire Abrasives not long ago:

I had to run down to HF to pick up the US General Side locker I ordred two weeks ago. The wife tagged along.

While waiting for the guy to bring out the Locker we walked around a bit and wandered over near the welding stuff. I mentioned to the wife that the 125 Titanium welder was on sale for 159.99, down from their regular $199.99 price. Told her I hoped it would be on sale again in two months when I planned to buy it.

She said buy it now and save the $40.00 just in case it wasn't on sale for awhile. I like how she thinks.

So today I got the following from HF:

1) A HF Side Locker in Black
2) A HF Titanium 125 Welder
3) Storehouse 12 Drawer Organizer

I just unboxed them today. Tomorrow I'll set the Side Locker in place and set up the Titanium welder. :D

I sold off a bunch of vintage tools over the past couple weeks and treated myself to these. Thanks to those that responded to my thread and helped me with the decision.

They’ll be pricier but you can get the same ones in green from SK. Might be able to find some blue leftovers from Armstrong on eBay too. All the same thing.
