I would like to see pics.... I bought a 210mp when they were 999... took a couple semesters at gcc in Phoenix of welding 101 and 201... also bought a couple victor setups... oxy/acy and propylene/oxy.... nice for heating and cutting... I bought all my tanks used... vern Lewis or Phoenix welding gave me good credit on them...

As requested, bud. Handler 190 and 80 cu. ft. tank (behind the welder) on a HF basic welding cart I picked up today. I may buy or build a nicer cart down the road.

A couple packages arrived today:

from the Classifieds here (all one guy w/ great deals, not sure if I'm allowed to post his name/thread):

Sunex wrench travel roll (going in the old BMW as part of the travel kit)
f7iTRND.jpg

Carlyle ratchets (all were new) - 1/2" 90T comfort, 3/8" 60T chrome std. and stubby, and 1/4" 90T comfort.

Carlyle 9mm-18mm flare wrenches (new)"

And for the several oil changes I have coming up, and to appease my dainty nature, the OTC magnetic drain plug holder. I hate getting oil on my hand when I pull the drain plug...

I've got a package due from Tekton on Friday, and I just snagged a few things at the Wiha 50% off sale. I should probably disconnect my internet...

Keeps the computer alive when the battery is disconnected when changing it or if you just need it out of the way to do other non electrical diagnostic work. Handy if you don't want to be bothered with anti-theft codes or wiping out radio/driver seat position presets.

Well, I'll be damned. Never knew. Thank you.

I would need the glove...because i always manage to drop the plug and/or my ratchet into the oil drain pan.

That's why I'm hoping the magnetic doohickey works - crack the nut to the point you can hand-loosen, use the magnet-stick to finish turning and when the oil comes out the drain plug stays attached to the stick.

It might be a week or two until I get to it...

Wow, awesome treasure. I lost mine back in high school and wish I had it. Easier to use than dragging out the dvm.

Definitely agree! I am so happy I found this. A friend was cleaning out his shop and told me to just pay postage on it which was around $3. It's simple and quite easy to use.

You sir need a fine Pitstop Glove!

s-l400.jpg

or a Facom oil change kit that has a breaker bar with an integrated spill catch!

oil-change-kit.jpg

A while back I picked up a FACOM socket to fit my drain plug that has a built in magnet, it's nice as I don't have to worry about dropping the plug in the hot oil while draining.

Just delivered emax 7.5 hp 80gal whisper compressor. USA made in Ohio by eaton compressor near Dayton arrived in massive shipping container. Sold at my Home Depot and caught it $500 off on sale. 31cfm at 100psi, way overkill for what I do but best to have and not need it than need it and not have it.

My Tekton 19-piece combination wrench set came today...
Lf8ZzfL.jpg

...along with the 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" chrome socket sets
XOERfo2.jpg

I don't really have a metric 1/2" set, and this one is 15-piece 10mm-24mm. The 3/8" set is really huge (6mm-24mm) which will make it pretty versatile and a good companion to the 1/4" 13-piece set going from 4mm-14mm.

It all appears to be nice and really well-made and I'm looking forward to using it all. I've got to re-figure out my wrench drawer and tool cart:
Rsxo4EQ.jpg

sLhQrdC.jpg

I also finally brought out some old tools my dad gave me a few months ago that belonged to his dad, who died in 1970 when I was a toddler.

An old Powr Kraft (Montgomery Ward's house brand) adjustable-head ratchet that was apparently made by Williams.
Q74u0tc.jpg

There was also a leather-covered manual-reel measuring tape:
6y309gq.jpg

...and a wooden level that needs (and will get) some TLC:

Vessel No. TD-70 plate ratchet driver set. I bought (2), one for my on-bike tool kit and one to keep in my box. Pretty nice for $13. Made in Taiwan though, not in Japan.0c6a50d347b0b5fc3a62801b8ea1c90e.jpg64f03e226f9e625ec37f99f59f4c81ae.jpg

VIM order came in. Darn hot deals

Might not have ordered enough mag rail tabs so may need to do a round 2 order.

Ordered one... GJ strikes again.

The flange is on the glove so the Doc doesn't fall in?

My thoughts exactly...

Saw this at our local garbage dumping/transfer station when I when to empty my utility trailer. Got it for ZAR10-00 (less than 1 USD). The electrical plug was cut off and I assumed it was junk as that is what most people do when an electrical item packed up so I bought it for the filing mechanism. At home I decided to fit an electrical plug (connector?) and try to fing out what is wrong with it. Well, nothing apparently as the motor started spinning. I fitted the belt and has used it extensively already. No bad signs like smoke or strange noises from the motor :bounce:

Added a few Makita 18v LXT tools. A new cordless vacuum (DVC154LZ) with L class filtration and a new drill (DHP481Z) to replace an older Makita drill with plastic gearbox that had developed way too much play.

Already used both and throughly enjoy them.

Could not pass up the price on these. The mayhew extractors and lady feet bars were amazon warehouse iirc and the Ridgid set was from eBay. Not bad for under $100 :)

New to me which I got for free from my SIL. They do need some TLC as the 2 machines had been standing idle in his step-father's store for many years. I doubt if the wood lathe was ever used.

Nothing too exciting. Got in an e- waste scrap pile but it works and is bright.
