New vs old Channellock. I shouldn't need to tell you which is which but since I burned through the jaws on my old 90s era Craftsman dykes I was looking for a made in the US supplement. I found a pair of 337s at HD for within a dollar of what I could find them online so I snagged them and noticed when I got home they looked suspiciously like another pair in the drawer. Yup, both are 337s. (Not pictured are a handfull of Empire String levels)

I think that's the idea. But it makes sense that to move it closer without leaving too little material encasing the pin, you would have to make it smaller. That said, even the smaller pin in shear like that is definitely not the weak point in that system so it's probably no big deal and worth it for more MA.

A lot of 4 CMan, Made In USA,wrenches. 2 of which are to replace missing wrenches that I'm pretty sure my niece "borrowed" before she got her own tools and are lost somewhere in her truck. I could buy the whole lot of 4 cheaper than the 2 I needed individually. And my next month's worth of razors from Dollar Shave Club came today.

I also picked up the new brushless SO screw gun. It's only been a day so far, but I'm really liking how controlled it is. I prefer this drill style trigger over the toggle style trigger.

have used this oil filter adapter for well nigh 30 years, think it was an OTC. It got the job done but occasionally annoying. Took advantage of the VIM Tools promotion and splurged on the Asian filter kit. very impressive quality.

A guy at work has these and wow they are impressive. He told me they are vice grip like grip. I couldn't find a Knipex version so i picked them up today. Anyone have any experience with Snap ons high leverage pliers? It's my first set of Snap on normally I get Knipex

I'm glad you posted, I had seen the dewalt shelving but didn't know about the accessories. I see they have leveling feet too. Looks like they will work on similar shelves from some other companies.
Wish they sold some hanger brackets that mount on the ends of the shelves.

I ordered a Mayhew set from Zoro and that is what showed up. The packaging is different that what was delivered but I am happy with them. I plan to put them to use when I teardown my 7.3 once I can get help to pull it.

I have that pair and a few other SO compound leverage pliers. They are fine.

Wahlen is the manufacturer of these. They make shelves for Costco, Home Depot husky brand and several others. I think you will like it!

I think that's the idea. But it makes sense that to move it closer without leaving too little material encasing the pin, you would have to make it smaller. That said, even the smaller pin in shear like that is definitely not the weak point in that system so it's probably no big deal and worth it for more MA.

Honestly they're not much different, the new pair are about 1/8" longer but that's just the drip at the ends of the handle from the dip coating. The pivot is smaller and the material around the pivot is less. I don't think I'm likely to ever be able to physically apply enough force to deform it. The center of the pivot is about the same distance from the tips, about the only thing I can see that could make any difference are the smaller pivot making the handles slightly longer and the throat of the jaws being closer to the pivot. I'd be surprised if those small differences are enough to make any noticeable change but you never know. I'm not planning on getting rid of my old pair though. Next up I want to get my hands on the Wilde flush joint pliers Epstein has and a sharp looking pair of Tekton slip joints that are made in the US unlike the Tekton needlenose I was eyeing.

So I was sanding the railings on my deck yesterday. Prepping for stain and my Dad stops by. He saw me using my palm sander and he asks me if I wanted his belt sander. I said "sure". He leaves and comes back today with not only the belt sander and some new belts but and he also rented a floor sander and helped me sand the entire deck.

I have that same BP ratchet! If you like the Matco extensions, buy a Mac to compare them to. I like the Mac best, but they don't offer wobble extensions and have fewer lengths available, so I have a pretty good mix of Mac and Matco now.

Couple of new things

After having to borrow a coworkers press on pulley tool again for an '88 vette, I finally bought my own. Would have loved to get the snap-on set but $300+ is too much for occasional use.

Snap-on truck reappeared, so I had him do the pocket screwdriver to pick swap that I saw on here.

Had him install the end so it goes off to the side, Had it in my shirt for half the day and didn't get poked. Really, I just didn't want the soft handle instinct pick, they collect dirt/grease easily, and the hard handle short mini picks aren't currently available. Was only charged $10, which I think is cheaper than the instinct pick
