Decided to add a couple of Snap-on Techangle Torque Wrenches to my 1/2” & 3/8 clicker wrenches. Only went for the 1/4” but wound up with a 3/8 as well. 328f6706842179a6976ffde32d124dd6.jpg
$ was about 50% of retail. Mint condition.

Now time for a morning ride:

I prefer the way you do it because all I have to do is click on the smaller image to see the full-size version.

Well I'll just continue the same then, I did notice some of the larger pics that are posted take way too long to load up and take up too much screen space. I think I agree with ya. Maybe medium sized would be ok, but some are just too big. I was afraid mine were so small that u couldnt see what was in the picture.

Well first up is a tool find moreso than a tool arrival. I emptied my hacksaw/prybar/hammer drawer to clean it out and replace the drawer liner and I found a set of Mayhew chisels, no idea how long they'd been in there but it's only missing the smallest 1/4" chisel. Then on my way back from the chiropractor's I saw a "FREE" sign on the side of the road and when I turned around there was indeed a chainsaw. A little 14" Poulan P3314, into the back of the car it went. I started taking it down and found a chunk of the recoil pulley rattling around, it still turned over when I pulled the rope so I continued. Then I discovered that the fuel lines not only did not have a filter but they were falling apart. Of course anything within a 15 min drive was closed already but tomorrow if new fuel lines get it running I may order a new pulley for it.

Been drooling over these for a while, finally pulled the trigger...

I’ve wanted this set forever but was always afraid to even look up the price (and this coming from a guy that owns every comfort grip 80 tooth ratchet that snappy makes). Honestly, was that more than a car payment but less than a house payment?

That multitool belt and disc grinder add-on costs more than my bench grinder.

I think I'd almost prefer to shop an actual belt sander.

A new stretcher/shrinker and a close quarter 3/8" corded drill. I wore my old one out.
I've never used a shrinker/ stretcher before but bought it to augment the new english wheel. I need to build a rear roll pan and a set of rocker panels once I figure it out.

I grabbed this Snappy 16/18mm "thin" wrench at local pawn basically free. I'm sure there'll be exactly once in the next 20 years at 2am on a Saturday I'll be like "Ah-hah! I have just the tool!"

I use 16 and 18 all the time but usually in circumstances that require an impact socket!

It costs more than my bench grinder as well. However, I do not have room in my 250 sq. ft. shop for a dedicated bench grinder and a belt sander. So, it is replacing this belt sander and allowing me space for my portaband table. It's also a significantly more powerful belt sander than the one it's replacing when hooked up to my 8+ amp 8" grinder.

It's almost like everyone's circumstances are unique... 49a030ccb1d0bd826deffb01d7839a6a.jpg

We have one of these on the grinder at work. It’s amazing how handy it is, and the quick change belt feature is awesome.

I’ve contemplated grabbing one for the home grinder as well, being I’m limited on space like you mentioned. Just can’t bring myself to the price just yet, eventually I’m sure.

Actually that wrench is very handy for holding the hex shaped portion of the disc brake caliper slide pin, when tightening the caliper bolts on many late model GM vehicles & others. A regular wrench is too thick and doesn't fit.
Excellent find!!

I got a riveter, a collet, and a few aluminum router bits from McMaster Carr -- and must say I love McMaster, they have always sent me quality. In a world chasing the cheapest item (with the resulting Chinese junk) they send me a collet made in Japan! The riveter is from Taiwan, also feels quality; the bits are Onsrud.

Awesome find. I'm currently rebuilding this scrapped 330. The last heavy duty series saw Poulan made before the Electrolux buy out. Reinserted the studs, cleaned, compression tested, tightened up and drained old bar oil. Needs a clutch cover and that's it.

Well … that ***** and can't **** at the same time. :lol_hitti

Indeed.

I have to admit I'm a little miffed since I sold my old shop vac once I saw the shipping notice from HD. Also, both the vac and the car kit it was bundled with at a special price are both in-stock just a few miles up the road, but they can't sell it to me at the bundle price
poe6hb.gif

Ultimately I should have checked the order itself and not trusted the shipping notice, but whatever - I can live for another week without a vacuum...

I've been looking for a 26" middle box for ages. All I can ever find is the "two deep drawer" ones. I wanted at least a 3-shallow drawer unit. I could find them new, but I didn't want to spend $100-150 on one.

Well, I found something even better today! An 8 DRAWER! Sure, it's not a "tool chest" by design (I don't know what it is, a flat file maybe?). But it's 24" wide, 15" deep, and 15" tall, so it fits were a middle box should be, only a little taller.

None of my boxes match, so I don't much care that it doesn't match. I put it up on a piece of MDF so it can hang over the back of the bottom box (and rest against the wall.

It even came with felt drawer liners! This sucker is heavier than it looks, too! It doesn't have ball-bearing drawers unfortunately, but all I want it for is my electronics tools, light stuff like that, so it'll do just fine.

I want that too, let us know if it’s good.

I've had my 6" Jet grinder 2" x 36" model for about three years. Worth every penny. I got the metalworking and belt and compound assortment, too.

Buying direct and assembling yourself saves a lot.
