This thread is an ideal candidate for a "Like" or thumbs up option included with each post.
It would provide a way to give props/excitement without cluttering the thread and less posts would go seemingly unnoticed.

Came today. Finding the old Made in the USA kits is getting harder. But, I did find this one.

A few things from here and there recently. Mayhew six piece Hose Pick Set with their new progrip handles. An Amazon bargain for $30 shipped. The ever popular MAC two piece pocket screwdriver & pocket pry bar set. the only thing this set needs is a magnet on top  Tekton 15 inch long 1/2 drive flex head 90 tooth ratchet and its little under 13 inch 3/8 counterpart. Really nice ratchets for the money.

Got a pair of High Leverage Cobolt Cutters and Electronics Super Knips to go with my pliers wrench and nibbler at work

Picked these up for my own kit, I mainly wanted the ratchet mechanism out of the Vessel. My older 16ft inch komelon selflock doesn't stay out anymore, so an upgrade was in order.

I'm a sucker for swedish design, so the hultafors pencil was an easy pickup. In addition to being both inch and metric, the tape is a high vis color, a full inch wide, and has a double hook at the end.

It's marked on both sides as well

I wanted a Teal handled ratchet but ended up with Pearl Blue. I guess I'll have to collect pearl blue now :dunno:

Got a felo smart handle to fill a wera pouch

I wish it held power-bit style shanks a bit tighter. I love the concept but the execution could be better. Integrating a better bit retention mechanism would go a long way.

Make sure you test it. I bought one, had to exchange it because it consistently read 6-7% off. Replacement also reads 6-7% off. This one is going back too - I like these torque wrenches, but if they’re not accurate I can’t use them.

I set it to 29.9. The power built torque adapter said 30.3. The gearwrench said 30.6 . Pretty accurate to me. I’ll test more.

I'd like a shank all the way through the handle and a striking cap.
Maybe MATCO or Mayhew will come out with a pocket sized PRYDRIVER

I can see that but, the weight might be a bit much for a pocket then:lol:

I'd like them to have a three inch blade instead of the current two inch blade.

All Snap-On except for the seam roller for sound deadening, some from eBay and some from my dealer. Metric torque adapters, SAE flare nut crowfoot, 1/4” SAE hex bit set, a few triple squares to complete my set, bit sockets, shock sockets, and some wobble extensions.

Matco released a prydriver set recently. They are screwdriver sized with a striking cap. Maybe in time they will offer a mini version.

Stanley FatMAX was my goto tape, but that think looks like it is at least 4x the tape the Stanley is. Clicking ADD TO CART!!

New Proto J5250HTCF 3/8" flex-head ratchet. I waited to buy one of these until they had the screws on the back of the head like God intended. Compared to an older 72-tooth Duralast the handle is longer and the head is smaller. Showed up this afternoon and I've already used it on two different customer cars.

got a Stabila 36548 48" electronic level
amazon warehouse deal. normally 260, it was 193. the paint is a little scuffed along the edge, but other than that, it looks new. seems like someone slid it across the floor or something. also came with the bag. i'm happy with the purchase.

i have a R-type 24" and a torpedo level on the way from amazon.de to save a few bucks, but the US warehouse deal for the 48" electronic level was cheaper than getting it from germany. speaking of that, anyone ever notice that the german model numbers are different? i wonder if stabila would honor the warranty on an german import in the US. the verbiage in the US leaflet that came with the warehouse deal level said it's a worldwide warranty, so maybe it's reciprocal.

Some more for my Xcelite collection-

I have been looking for a nice Xcelite 67CG diagonal cutter for a while. Every time I see one, it is beat to death. I finally found a nice one. I had to buy the whole lot of pliers to get them, but oh well. They are all USA Xcelite, and I can use every one of them.

I also finally found a NOS Snap-On handle for the Xcelite 99 blades. Snap-On sold a set for a brief while (ElectroSet) that used Xcelite blades:

You'll like it.

I use mine a lot. I like the way I can swap the shanks for either a longer reach or to use 1/4" sockets and use as a nut driver.

Indeed.

98% of my hand tools are average joe tools, Kobalt, Craftsman, Husky, etc. I'm not a pro.

But I have a few Snap On and I try to only pay Snap On prices for tools that people universally recommend as worth it which I would use a lot. This is one of those tools. Lot of folks I trust (and online) told me this is the ratcheting screwdriver to have. Looking forward to using it.

I love the versatility of the different shanks,I have the stubby with inter changeable shanks as well. The only trouble I had was,if I put bits in the handle, the cover was never tight enough. The cover would come off,and the bits played "hide & seek". A dab of atv and problem solved,I don't need to store anything in there anyway.
