I've wanted a high speed drill for a while and a few manufacturers make 4000rpm drills but they're not nearly as plentiful as 2500rpm drills, especially on the used market. My perusing finally netted me a NOS Makita 6501 for cheap. It's not s powerful as some but it's fast, 4500rpm fast & small too, the #1 pencil is pictured for reference.

Very nice. Ebay?

New Rolgear 15 in 1 multi bit screwdriver. Made in Canada. Haven't had the pleasure of using it yet, but it sure is smoother than my other junker ratcheting screwdriver. e3905a75e498afbae0075c04ce190d33.jpg

I have the older version and love them (I have 3).

Brought some items home from my inlaws. it all belonged to my wife's grandfather who was a life long tool and die maker. The Kennedy is full of homebuilt tools like sine bar, parallels etc, as well as Brown and Sharpe, Moore and Wright, Starrett, Tesa measuring tools, and a Test indicator that I'm unsure of the manufacturer, but it says made in Germany.

The mill and lathe will just get refreshed and cleaned up and put into use, the Reid grinder is slated for a full restoration.449826e8e68034d56117ec39cbf9d9f1.jpg7b83cf72b9e762715668763d729f0099.jpg5d1f839dc69c4c400e01b4eec8ff5e5e.jpgd817adfe06a5da0463cc889fb927589f.jpg68d95b2f32741843abf18049e7de21a2.jpgff230920fdd3b2cd0ce3c861d92a3684.jpg4a868fae5b551a881ca78e09754ae347.jpg

Who’s the manufacturer?

Only info is the name on the saw and blade, Supertanium. No idea who made it.
Here is a picture of the box.

oh wow that is very NOS. I bet it was made by Lenox.

Premier Industrial is long gone, they sold to Farnell in 1996.
The Mandel brothers were very big here in town. Extremely philanthropic!
EDIT: At some point Lawson Products purchased the Supertanium name/product line.

Kobalt 19mm deep 1/2 socket to have at home since I needed a thinner one to take off the wheels of the escape the impact won’t fit in there very well. It is a 12 point but it’s the only non impact one they had and the Crapsman was 4 dollars more to me Kobalt is better.

Been wanting a new set of ratchets for years, was set on a set of snap ons but when i found the tektons I was sold on the price and reviews. My birthday came around and lo and behold, a set of quick release ratchets was wrapped up for me! A new set of wrenches was next to it, and a set of flex head ratchets are on the way. Used all the ratchets and a few of the wrenches today, big step up from the various aged kobalts I've been using (all 36t models)

It's been a pretty good week so far:

Got these lightly used AMP 49935 crimpers for $90. Normally ~$600+

Sorensen DC Power Supply. A very nice Canadian made BTPS. Normally $1000+, I paid $80. :lol_hitti

Nice Flambeau parts organizer. Really digging this thing.

Some Snap On crows feet.

Brake Fluid tester.

Is he a professional mechanic or something? If not, Mac may not be the best bang for the buck. I think some Knipex Cobras or a Knipex Pliers Wrench (10” long model) are hard to beat. I also like the 6” Knipex pliers wrench and 5” cobras for smaller things. VIM makes a nice small bit ratchet that isn’t expensive and is probably the smallest one you can get which is why you are using a bit ratchet to begin with. Estwing hammers are nice. Idk. Hard to recommend without knowing more about what he does and what he has.

Got some new tools to work on brakes. The Tekton metric Allen drivers are nice.

Half the adapters in the OMT caliper kit are for cars I'll never work on like Peugeot, Citroen, Austin, Opel. That's OK, it gives me adapters to modify for future use.

Nice!

I'd have to agree that's a darn good tool to buy when you're not sure what someone needs or can use.

Knipex is incredibly high quality stuff, and pretty much anyone who works on anything anywhere can use one or two of those plier wrenches.

Came home to a nice delivery, PB Swiss 4pc Phillips Set.

It is nice to see screwdrivers built with attention to detail. The cap logos are all in line with the logos on the handles and everything sits straight up and down against one of the ridges on the handle.

Its a little thing, but I didn't see the same from the last few Wera screwdrivers I have bought.
