I never understand the attraction of tape measures. But flash lights, knives and especially ratchets, I am all in!

My theory is that I’m not sure if folks that have a lot of tape measures actually like tape measures that much. Personally find it more of one of those things that is convenient to have strategically stashed around when you are looking to use one. Like cars and both ends of the garage. Makes sense for flashlights and knives especially if they aren’t an EDC item. Ratchets am not so sure as they need to lives near socket sets, but I guess it can apply with multiple sets in cars, garage and shop in true GJ spirit. If there was a tape measure addiction post maybe I’ll change my mind, but the key here I think is distinguishing between tool addiction vs convenience. A fine line I think.

) pocket plannerIt's a crapshoot as to where Lisle tools are made these days.

Neither of the Lisle pliers I posted above have part numbers or the Lisle name stamped anywhere on them
I expect more from Lisle.

I got rid of the wires on the thread checkers... and fabricated a box with holes that provide spots for the checkers. Over the years... I find having them "individualized" so much easier to use. I have those Lug checkers as well... I keep them all organized by size in their custom boxes... in a soft sided lunch box.
Picture? They are a bit of a pain on the cable.

While I like the idea of the thread checkers off the cable, I much prefer having them take up almost no room, mine are all hanging in one spot. I rarely have to deal with a stud that I don’t already have a nut for, so threading a bolt or nut on them is pretty straightforward even while hanging up. Also taking them with me is simple and they are all there, all the time.
