Got a nice cross point bit from KC Tool yesterday. I'd never looked at these closely until yesterday, but they are made by Felo, and appear to be the DIN 5260/ISO 8764-1 standard, which are compatible with JIS.

Also in the box was the new Knipex forged wire stripper, which is nicely sized for working inside a workbox. The thickness of the pliers end is 11mm/7/16". The wire stripping slots have little "bumps" to help guide the wire into the slot.

And some more Eagle Grip bling. I have plenty vintage DeWitt-Peterson grips in the box, but I could not resist adding these to the garage. Very impressed with the quality as the jaws are perfectly aligned and the finish is excellent.

HJE order came today. The new eagle grip pliers look great! Also picked up some NOS Jorgensen c-clamps and they came in the old boxes, pretty neat!ac4df2d93ea988b429b615af1a1df0af.jpg

Those are about $25 at our Rite-Aid. My wife wants you to give us your review after you've used it. We've always wondered if they're worth it.
Well, it works is all about I can say. It's pretty thick stainless so it won't bend easily. Not my preferred choice for an ice cream scoop though. Not ideal for scooping unless you got a party size tub of ice cream. I really only bought it for the novelty & the memories from when I was a kid.

fed up ruining tires so I got a $55 TPMS , works good.

Also fed up of air impact that couldn't loosen lugs so ordered high volume V fittings and replumbed everything. No more breaker bar before lifting the wheels off the ground.

new arrival Proto J5257F, along with a trusty Carlyle and Tekton. Doesn't appear so in the pic but the head width on the Proto is virtually identical to the very small Carlyle, surprising for a roundhead. all 3/8

Craftsman 1/4 drive 1/2 socket. It was a warranty replacement. Made in Taiwan, directly from Craftsman since Lowe’s or Ace wouldn’t warranty it. You don’t even have to send the old one in. I have a few more that need warranty but I figured I would do one or two at a time so I would not look like I’m just taking advantage of it.

Turns out I liked these 3/8" MAC extensions so much that I ended up getting the 1/4" set to go along with them:

The last couple weeks have been fruitful. Much needed retaing ring pliers, Sunex impact sockets and a big upgrade to my bit sdockets thanks to Capri and a local sale on some Channellock brand which I've used without complaint.

Just got this bad boy. Those new hubs with spacers take some torque to get them set right.

Got this hammer at local pawn for $2

Is Ampco Nupla or vice versa? This is badged as a Nupla but the part # cast into the head appears the same as an Ampco I stumbled across at MSC?

Either way, didn't seem like I could go wrong at $2 and no tax.....

Harbor Freight has their Daytona floor jacks on sale. $169 for the low profile long-reach. Been eying one for a while. Luckily I'm not picky about the color because they only had blue and lime green left.

Congrats, you’ll love it, this is an awesome jack. I’ve had my low profile long reach for almost 4 years, and it’s been the best jack I’ve ever owned by far. Just changed the oil on it last week for the first time, works as good as the day I bought it.

Thanks for posting that. Been waiting for it to go on sale to replace my older HF floor jack at work. Really wanted a red one to match the tool box but I had to settle on blue.

Channellock bargain three-pack at Menards:

channellock_set.jpg

#420 9.5" groove joint pliers, #337 7" diagonal cutters, and #61A six-in-one screwdriver. 100% made in USA.

Everyone knows what Channellock groove pliers are like, so I don't have to tell you about those. The 7" dikes were super stiff and gritty until I gave them a shot of WD-40, which must have dissolved some crud in the joints because now they're like buttah. I already have one of these 6-in-1's, and it's my favorite, so now I'll have another for when I lose the first one.

Given that the dikes alone are like $18, this was a hella deal at $25 for the set, with 11% rebate.

A few things from this weekend's Harbor Freight 30% off 5 items less than $10 sale:

A pair of Quinn 57987 8 inch Kiwi pliers for only $6.29 with coupon.

A Pittsburgh newly released Swedish pattern pipe wrench item number 57446 for only $6.29 with coupon. It's over a foot long. It may hurt me the first time I lean on it but, I couldn't resist. The Harbor Freight associate thought I was crazy asking about it since she hadn't heard of a Swedish pipe wrench but, she looked it up on her computer and found it in the back. Normally most associates would have just said, nope we don't have it. This person went the extra distance to find one for me. Kudos to her :bowdown:

Lastly, a four pack of magnetic hooks because, I use the hell out of them at work.

I went to HF today too, first time in a while. I was waiting for another “30% off items below $10” coupon to pick up some more Bremen locking pliers. While I was there I grabbed some more WD-40, two plastic organizer trays, a pneumatic coupler kit, C batteries, and another battery-powered fluid pump. At $7 after coupon, these little fluid pumps are one of my favorite things at HF - I’ve got a few I use for fuel and used oil. They work great, and when they finally fail (which is WAY longer than the life I would expect at this price point) at this price point they are disposable.
