I've sent in about twelve warranty requests to MAC in Ohio over the last 5 years because I haven't seen a MAC truck in 10. I sometimes send them questionable warranties which they shouldn't honor, and never had a single issue. I don't mind abusing the warranty because I paid the privilege for it, and simply don't care. One time I sent them old USA Torx with a part number that was converted to Taiwan sockets. What used to be normal length, became stubby. Had a short discussion with a supervisor who proceeded to drop ship me the correct *entire set* of sockets I had warrantied out, and told me to keep the $180 stubby *entire set* they sent me. Didn't want it back. They sometimes fit slightly different than Snap-on, which is why I have both.

Your entire debacle makes no sense whatsoever, unless you were trying to slip them non-MAC tools, or something else nefarious. If it was new enough to dispute on your credit card, you could have just flat out returned them.

I've had other dealings with Stanley as well, and never, ever have any issues. Their warranty is better than Snap-on.

Your experience is not consistent with everything I know about MAC/Stanley.

I don't want to derail this thread by diving back into this MAC nonsense, I am over it.

All I'm going to say is that the tools I sent in for warranty were clearly photographed in my post in this thread, and that it seems really weird for someone who just admitted to abusing a warranty themselves to then suggest I must be doing likewise, despite all photographic evidence to the contrary. You're entitled to your opinion, but not your own facts.

The tools have been sent back for a full refund. I will never buy from MAC again, because they won't even warranty brand new tools with factory defects, so I have zero faith they will warranty a used one. I don't judge people who keep buying from them, but I'm done.

New to me Fluke i410 current clamp to add to my collection. Had to do a little bit of cleaning when I got it, but it works great, is in great shape and I definitely can't complain for $50 shipped.

I already have a i410 that I use with my 289 multimeter, but like being able to monitor all three phases of motors simultaneously. One of these days I want to get a Fluke 438-II, but likely will not be in the budget for quite some time.

Stanley warranty replacement socket. They sent a black chrome one which was odd but it’s cool with me I like the sleek look of it. The other one didn’t come with any detents in the bottom and falls off every ratchet and extension and everything. They were happy to replace it.

Pink hard handle because why not. I'm digging the hivis, pink, and green hard handle ratchets.

i-nDSLLSg-L.jpg

SO Stubby torx

i-JwxFRGw-L.jpg

Some Nitize cam jam. I don't know how to tie too many different knots, so this makes quickly tying down stuff pretty easy. Superb quality for the price.

i-3zh6m9J-L.jpg

Got the driver pen that's been floating around here. The first one that was sent had the magnet fall out as soon as I removed the bit. They were cool enough to send another. I think this was a little hyped up - I do not recommend.

i-TVzvrpN-L.jpg

Mayhew straight pry bar. Amazon had these on a pretty good discount for about a week

i-Vgvfcsz-L.jpg

Jumped on the $299 bogo deal. I've been lusting for a tower light and needed more batteries, so this was the perfect promo for me.

i-52XVphS-L.jpg

i-Tm5f87H-L.jpg

Got one of the Mac RBRT extractors to try out. Will give it a try before buying the rest of the set. Quality looks great; made in Taiwan.

i-fPx87fc-L.jpg

Homedepot has these knee mats on sale for $15. Great mat for the lowest price I've seen.

i-NK7qn7b-L.jpg

Saw these on Instagram and thought I would give them a try. I've got one filled with copper anti seize, and the other with silicone grease. They use a luer taper for the syringes, so you can change the head out to all sorts of brushes, syringes, accessories, etc.

i-938BddB-L.jpg

Long torx bits. Really didn't need them, but got them for about 60% off.

i-49qK4B7-L.jpg

Klein crimper for cat/rj cables. Used it a few times and really like it.

i-n5CCGqp-L.jpg

Haven't seen this style Klein cable cutters, so why not. I don't own too many klein tools, but I believe with out a doubt that they make the best shears.

i-ZrfzV6D-L.jpg

The same store that had the kliens had these usa made Plato's for $6...so why not

sweet,

Harbor Freight has a similar pad for $6.49; it's 1.5 inches thick. I got one and my wife decided she needed it so I had to get another. The pad is very firm and is comfortable to sit or kneel on.

Yup, I've got the HF one too. Some say it's too firm compared to other brands but it's perfectly fine for me & it's been holding up great but I don't use it that often.

I got mine during a 30% off $10< sale which came out to $4.55 but even without a coupon that is still lowest price for one of these that I have seen. And I did search around before getting one cause I didn't want to pay much for one.

Maddox bearing, race and seal driver set. Got $8 off of it with the Inside Track Club 20% off they had 20% off for everyone else too. Got the extensions for $6.99 regular $9.99 but ITC got $3 off and you can’t combine discounts and it was a good buy since I don’t have any 1/2 drive impact extensions.

From the current SK Steals and Deals page:
(3) flare nut wrenches
Fixed and flex head 1/4" drive ratchets
8" battery cable cutters
(2) 5/8" X 11/16" wrenches (for those nut/bolt combos where the nut and bolt head are different sizes).

Missing the 10" soft jaw cannon head pliers that were ordered.

part number on the Klein cable cutters? I have the crimpers and I like them. Much easier to use and compact, unlike my old Ideal Crimpmaster.

Got some cash for Father's Day, put it to use for a possible upcoming project.

I've always used a block of wood or old race to drive a race or seal in. Figured they are all about the same. Grabbed the same as Blake.KIMG1040.JPG

I've had a home built press for years but always put off getting a bearing splitter. Both seal driver kit and bearing splitter from HF. They will get me started until an upgrade is needed.

I needed a couple more socket trays for the box in the enclosed trailer. But I could find where I was at was Crimson from Rural King.

Harbor Freight sells those socket trays in a 3 pack. I seen them today when I was there. Yours was probably out of stock mine only had one box left. The Crimson ones aren’t bad I’ve got several from Rural King most are the old Tool Shed brand that the sockets sit upright on but I do have a few of the peg style too and have had to glue many of the pegs back on because I’m bad about breaking them. 🙂. Nice to see we got the same tool. I haven’t used any Maddox stuff yet so hopefully it will hold up well. I definitely will need it when work starts back up and when I do the bearings in my old stuff at home.

Got a couple Williams 3/8" roundheads as well as their 1/2" impact metric set. Also got a replacement SDDD41 from Snap-On. I'd ordered a couple of them but one arrived without the tube or the bits. Called 'em up, and they had a whole new one to me in three days so shoutout to them. Need to figure out what to do with the spare handle now.

I checked the socket trays at HF. I only needed a 1/4" & 1/2" tray so I didn't want an entire set.

The others I have are Hansen from Menards. These won't get much use but the tad bit of OCD, might make me swap them out for Hansen pieces so they all match.

Appreciate the heads up! It is worth mentioning the size on this pad is awesome. It's 22"x15"x1.5", which is nearly 70% larger than the HF version. This one will live by my lift. The HF one will be my go to for out doors work.

They are the 63055. It looks like they are discontinued. If you need help finding a pair, the store I got them from had a bunch on the shelves.

Hazet Wire Brush.

And my next restoration project - a Desmond Stephan Simplex 41p machinist vise. Moves smooth and free and all of the screws came out with very little effort. Should be a fun one.

Finally had an excuse for a project this weekend, to replace the jigsaw i loaned to a friend and let them keep, (she was getting more use out of it around her house and with arts and crafts projects). i thought about getting a cordless Bosch one, but my current Bosch drills and driver are a few yrs old and didn't research if they still used the same batteries. I'm an infrequent wood worker these days, so the cord wont bother me often.20210623_035500.jpg

Picked up the Estwing backpack for work, and thought the Gearwrench 80948 was the best set for it. Backpack from Farm & Fleet, socket set from Cripe. Very nice set, as everything from GW has been. Taiwan not China.

Arrived today, PEC Blemished 24" Combination Square Blade ($34.99), 1/2" Colt & Riss drill bit ($1.99), and 1/8" to 1/2" Colt & Riss drill bit set ($0.00). The set was free (no additional charge) with order of $35.00 or more.

The Combination Square Blade looks great even though it is advertised as a blemish.

Purchased from: Taylor Toolworks

Wen't on a small tool splurge the past couple weeks, nothing too crazy, but.... Added a few new pairs of Knipex to the bag (the clean handles, replaced some cheaper brands), along with adding a new set of Tekton wrenches and Noco genius 10, both prime day pickups.

Also, found a Fluke 566IR thermometer on Facebook Marketplace for $20. Had to jump on that, even thought I really didn't need it.

Now need to work a few hours to pay myself back! :ROFLMAO:

My dad bought me a new toolbox in celebration of my new job and my graduation from high school and college since I didn’t get anything for either besides a phone and some tools which I was fine with but this was nice. Unfortunately they only had orange or yellow and no way I would get yellow. I went off and forgot my Allen keys at home so I will have to put the handle on sometime Monday.

I've had mine (red) since I was a sophomore in HS. It's served me well.
