Needed a 5mm stubby....ended up buying the set.

Hell yeah! I bought the fractional set to change out the intake seals on my bike a year or two back. I was so impressed with them I immediately went and bought a metric set as well. Bondhus hex keys are damn hard to beat and once you price them out? Yeah, I think I'm up to 5 or 6 sets of Bondhus hex keys right now.

New Metabo grinder. It is one of their flathead style grinders. Here it is in comparison with one of their other 5" grinders

As you can see from the profile, it will fit into some places that the more traditional grinders won't.

It is lower powered than the full size one (7.5 amp vs 14.5) The new one is model WEF 9-125 and the older one is WE-17-125.

I like the idea but can’t think of a time I would have ever needed it. If space is that tight I’m probably using a die grinder.

Not new but new to me. The other day a customer brought this battery charger into the store and asked if we could fix it. Our store does not offer any service's like that. So he asked what we had for sale so I showed him a few model's. He picked one and bought it and left happy. I asked him he wanted his old one , he asked if we could dispose of it for him. So I brought it home and looked at it and found the negative clamp was rotting off stripped the wire back a bit and reattached and the charger works

I've picked up a few things lately:

1. Ariens Ikon XD52 (upgraded to the Kawaski engine instead of the Kohler)
2. Dewalt 60 gallon Air Compressor (Shop) (Sample pic, I would never use PVC)
3. Metabo "The Tank" Air Compressor (On the go)

So far I'm really digging the Ariens zero turn, the build quality and perfromance is impressive. The Metabo is also working well for my track days. The Dewalt I haven't plumbed yet, so beyond the break in, it hasn't seen much use.

Not exactly new but new to me. Found these under the hood of a 2021 Subaru Impreza. I believe someone was tampering with something probably because it’s the same car I cracked my socket on because the drain plug was so tight the one we ended up having to impact out. Can’t complain because the best tools are free tools lol. Sears made in China.

Zoro for the win. Ordered yesterday with 15% off + free shipping and it arrived today.

haven’t been into any steel with it yet but it runs extremely smooth. Louder than expected but can tell it’s got some power.

Did you ask if they belonged to the owner of the car?

So it likely belongs to the last guy that worked on the car, maybe at your place of employment. Better watch out that he doesn't accuse you of stealing his tools:cautious:
Haha. When I found them I yelled hey here is some pliers and everyone was like alright haha. I believe it was the cars second oil change so possibly could of been someone’s.

Mains powered air duster to use in place of canned air.

Works pretty well. More powerful than canned air, doesn't freeze your hand, no liquid spray. Doesn't run out of air every five mins.

However, it's noisy, quite large and has a cord. Cordless are available, but I assume not as powerful.

Not as powerful as a compressor, but a decent step up from canned air.

Needed to replace some tools that went missing from my work truck. I got Proto 1/4 sockets in shallow, deep, metric and SAE. SK 1/4 semi deep sockets in metric and SAE, Carlyle 1/4 swivel sockets, some Carlyle ratchets, and Mayhew stubby torx sockets. Also picked up a Testo multimeter, a Uni-T clamp meter, Probemaster leads, and some other random bits and pieces. Not pictured, is a set of Proto metric combination wrenches.

Is that the new shade of blue for this year? What's the part# on that set?
Yep, Snap-on calls it “Power Blue” and it looks like they’re keeping it around as I’ve seen pliers sets, torque wrenches, hammers, pry bars, ratchets, and even the propane torch offered in this color. I’m glad, because IMO this metallic blue is the best color hard handles Snap-on has ever made.

Part number on this set is SDDX70AMB.

These two are for dad. He keeps torx around because the dash of his Freightliner is all torx pretty much. The mini screwdrivers are for him too but I might sneak them into my box 😉. 6AF5D6C1-6BE1-46B0-BB4F-FF771F439D64.jpegGot this for me. I need a good light to carry in my pocket to pull out to look at stuff at work. Was trying to find one with a belt holder but haven’t found any.

Blake, I have some of those tiny screwdrivers I got from somewhere long ago and always say in my work box and everyone in a while they came in handy. I had to do a valve adjustment on a subie in car and on that day they earned their keep.

Capri Tools tool haul. Couple freebies too. The adapter is a freebie along with the patch. The sticker was in with the bit set. Very well built tools. I also purchased a 1/4 drive shallow 15mm socket and 1/4 drive deep 15mm socket to complete my set and plus it’s handy and not one you see everyday. I’m very happy with the purchase. With Asian sets like those Capri sets and all of the other good Asian brands, there is no way that USA tool companies are going to survive. Even Snap On with their delivery to your door, warranty and financing are not going to continue to get their prices for much longer. Once us old f*cks all die off, the young-uns will not pay those prices.

Besides that fact that we gave away the farm to Mexico and China many years ago, we still have not kept up with efficiencies. Most of these Asian tools are every bit as good as USA tools at 10% of the price. And they still make f*cking money. The sad truth.

I got this as much to see where my two old torque wrenches are as anything. Assuming this thing is anywhere close to as accurate as the Inspection is (or the ±2% it's specified to be), my old 3/8" flex-head SO is still very accurate as is the big Griot's-labeled/made in England 1/2".

I'll have it for weird spots I can't get to with one of those two, but I've been vacillating about whether to get them calibrated for a while. I bought them both second-hand in what appeared to be un-used condition, but when torqueing things down that mattered, I've always wondered a bit and felt stupid for not checking them. I feel (mostly) better about it now...

If the torque wrench is made in England chances are it's made by NORBAR

Funny how they always give the inspectors English names, Mine was inspected by 'Patty' :)
