Definitely looks more sturdy than the other version. Maybe the rod of the other version could be thicker...I might try the Thexton version...

Lisle pipe stretcher set

20211126_153715.jpg

I have the exact same Lisle expander set. I hate doing exhaust work but this set does work quite well in most applications I've used it on.
I have the astro version of that pipe stretcher and love it for exhaust work. I bought a few 10 foot sticks of pipe in different sizes as needed. So nice to cut a chunk and open the end and make your own adapters. No more running to parts store piecing together an exhaust repair.

I converted mine to hydraulic using the hand pump from my greenlee knockout set. Had the same size threads. A LOT smoother using hydraulic vs an impact, not trying to turn the bolt anymore.

Just wait till you have to warranty the ktc stuff lol but love it anyways.
I mostly save my Japanese tools for my motorcycles and also for my personal vehicles when I'm taking my time and being very meticulous, sort of how the Japanese typically are. My every day customer work gets my "cheaper" or more "durable" tools!

Went to Harbor Freight again and spent too much money lol. Went in to get a replacement hammer for my favorite coworker Batman and ended up seeing several things I “wanted” though all of them are useful for me. $68 not too bad for everything. I broke his hammer so I was obligated to replace it. Went to Advance where it was purchased they said since the name was no longer visible and no receipt they could not warranty it. I didn’t even try to fight I walked out and went to Harbor Freight. Also purchased the blue magnetic tray for him as well as he has been wanting one and they were on sale haha. Maybe it will be like the black one and everyone in the shop will have one before the end of the week 😂. Then the brushes you always wear those out so I keep new ones when I can. The battery terminal cleaner will come in handy for some batteries though to me it’s easier to use a wire brush when it’s still connected. Pliers rack for the cart already have one but have so many pliers in the cart and more coming in the mail so I need more racks. 3/8 impact extensions looking for a new 3/8 impact as my Blue Point could not be fixed as parts are no longer available but I didn’t have but two 3/8 impact extensions so I wanted more. The brake gauge will come in handy as we have to record brake linings of every vehicle as part of our multipoint that we are required to complete before working on any vehicle just to make sure there are no issues as we have been blamed in the past. The shop has them but they are old and beat up so I got my own. It’s marked as a new product at Harbor Freight I didn’t know they sold them but I’m glad they do. It was nice to have a day off for snow today getting to catch up on things I needed to do. You will probably see several tool posts from me this week as I have three different tool orders coming from Tekton, Capri and Zoro.

What's the model #? I just rebuilt a 3/4" blue point from the 80s I got from a member here. Rebuild kit was cheap. You can likely find rebuild kits for the OEM. Be it an IR, Florida Pneumatic or whoever else they've used.
I’ll look and see. That would be awesome if I could find a kit for it. Actually it’s in my car let me go get it…. My dealer said it was made roughly between 2000-2002.

I have the same amp clamp, I still haven't used it, I need to rectify that.

Well, you should proceed directly to that task.

I don't exactly have any current need for it... :pimpflash

the atmosphere in here is electric

Watt are you two talking about?

Ohm on my way to find out.

my interest in this tool is being sparked, but I must Resist...

Well, if neither of you will tell me, I have to say that really Hertz and Joule live to regret giving me so much Resistance! Here I thought we were all friends, but nope, no Continuity amongst the brethren!

Pardon my late “induction”, but I think i “zero’d in” on “watts” happening here.
At this “phase”, “ammeter” “two separated” from the discussion, or perhaps at this “short” notice you guys will let me be “integrated” so that my thoughts “iron vane”.
Ill be “winding”down now, as to not create “interference”.
Thats my “resolution” anyways. 😎

Stop it. You're getting me all amped up with these puns. I see there's a surge of good ones in this thread, presently.
