The funnel will help a little I guess, have some brake clean around, lol.
Yeah, thanks, but not my first rodeo. Been changing oil on Harley V Twins for over 100,000 miles. Bike I traded on the current one had 86K on it. Had the top end off that one a couple times. Appreciate the tip, I buy Brakeleen by the case for various reasons.

Another stubby nozzle for my M18 blower to replace my previous 3D printed stubby & a couple of silicone protector bands. Fits the stock long tube also. Damn, I really need to get me a 3D printer already!

Fluke socket tester on clearance at Lowes. Bought on a whim, I think I'm gonna return it tomorrow though & maybe get the Klein one from HD.

Maximum 90T ratchets followed me home from Crappy Tire today, on special for $49.99. heard someone comparing these to gearwrench (who I believe have historically made Maximum for Canadian Tire) and noticed that the 1/4" is a tad longer than my existing GW 84T. Selector switch is different as well as a few of the tool markings, but very close indeed. The head on the new one is just a tad narrower than the 84T.

@tripplejl -

where did you source the "EZRED" unit from? who is the manufacturer?
the unit is built on a flat plane, correct? (the heads are not angled in relationship to the center shaft, right?)

I am intrigued by that "ICON" parrot-jaw plier - does that unit have a smooth jaw?

(Maybe I need to go wander around a bit at the local HF.)

I picked up the EZRED driver from the Cornwell truck. The part number is 4SS8. I have seen some of the EZRED stuff online . Yes its a Flat plane wrench. Hope this helps.

Parrot Nose Pliers have smooth jaws. I will post a pick when I get back out in the garage.

The ratchet on the right as looking from the drive side, has the now typical gear cover from being made in the SATA plant in the PRC. You can see the same gear cover plate on Gearwrench 90 tooth, Husky, along with other Apex sourced ratchets.

I'm done buying anything not marked SO or BP off the truck, the markup is ridiculous, unless you can't afford in and in that case you probably shoulden't buy it anyway.

Great point. When you need it and the tool truck guy is there and has it, shopping around isn't always an option. I don't carry a truck balance and Instant gratification is expensive. In my experience Mark up usually is close to double what you could get it for elsewhere on these non core brand tools off the truck. But here and now usually comes into play during the negotiations in my head before I hand over the cash. If you don't need that instant gratification, it's much easier on the wallet.

Some new tools today. Went to HF originally to get the Icon pliers wrench but of course sold out. Wanted the parrot jaw pliers but really just can’t see a use for them in automotive so I might buy them next week if available as they had one pair. Had to do some electrical work on pops truck today told him I would as long as I didn’t miss the HF sale LOL. Got two tarps and funnel set as well for freebies. The trick is do separate transactions. So to begin my haul got some Doyle wire strippers because I’ve never owned a good set of wire strippers these are better than the ones I have but not the best out there. The needle nose vise grips work awesome for crimping some of the larger circumference connectors like what I was using and I didn’t have any at home so I bought these I’ve been impressed with my other Bremen vise grips so these are just fine. Then two more boxes of gloves. I bought 4 boxes of the 5mil last time and they just aren’t what they used to be they are even a different color blue now slightly. They are noticeably weaker too. I will keep them but limit them to oil changes and other light stuff. So I decided to get the 7 and 9 mil. The 9 mil were $1 cheaper than the 7 with my ITC and the 7 were the same price as the 5 mil so I bought them. The 7 mil and 9 mil as long as not too dirty can be used a few times before throwing out. Oh yeah and got some razor blades at Ace Hardware because it’s down the road from pops truck and we forgot he was out of blades in his truck and needed some to touch up some of the stripped wire. But since I paid for them they are going in my tools lol 😂.

Expect to see more tools posted this week too as I have several (mostly broken) Snap-on things coming from eBay that I’ll be getting warranty on.

Bought a few things from HF as well, including two boxes of XXL 7mil gloves, which were on sale. And also the parrot nosed pliers.

And when I bought my Milwaukee drill/driver kit I was never happy with how heavy they were with the 5.0XC batteries. So based on the suggestion of members here, I bought these...which were discounted $40 and Blains Farm and Fleet.

lowest price I found on that "EZRED" unit is $33.20 from this ebay seller,
next jump up is this seller - $30.46 + $8.45 shipping (to me.)

edit - they drop-shipped it to my buddy's shop. easy peasy.

hopefully he can get into the doors with it. ;)

More dewalt atomic, just picked up dewalt atomic multitool, really liking the atomic tools. They’re smaller and lighter and this multitool feels so much better than the Milwaukee which i just bought but will properly not use. Right off the blade change is so much better on dewalt, pull lever change blade done. The Milwaukee you lift a lever unscrew a lock bolt, by that time i cut it with the dewalt already.

Just order one for my Stihl BGA 56 blower. I use it a lot for blowing the water off my truck after washing it. Hope it fits.

I wanted green and they have been on back order. I placed an order a while ago from Snap-on and still on back order when I checked this morning. So when I was on the truck today, I got the sets he had. Would have been nice to get the green but I am happy with orange and red/white/blue. Plus I was able to get them from my local guy, I would rather put the money in his pocket.👍

Some goodies to replace & upgrade. Wiha impact screwdriver was the second replacement. Absolutely garbage, hopefully the vessel will hold up.

Some new to me tools haha. Top three are Snap-on. Didn’t have any decent stubby screwdrivers so I found some on eBay with a cotter pin puller for a good price. Black isn’t my first color choice but it’ll do. Bottom three had a forum member send me some sockets I showed interest in. The middle 14mm 6 point is the same series as the one I split on a Subaru drain plug so I was happy to have another matching one. Not sure what year that series was made but I like it.

I don't know how to feel about this scam.
I'm a machinist and wrinkle brown is bible. I still don't trust this shop enough to rent a truck with a lift and bring my big *** box. So I have this smaller set up I bring to places where I'm doing contract work or helping on the side. It has all the essentials. This particular riser and drawer chest were sitting on a 50 gal barrel in a corner of the shop. When I needed something I'd go get it and put stuff away when I'm done. Recently I've been doing a lot of set ups on multiple machines so I'm constantly going back and forth between my tool box and the machines. A co-worker was going to throw away a roller box and I got it from him. It is a tired box as you can see in the images. but the idea was to keep it away in the shadows and never bring it to light onto the floor. The other day I was doing a setup that was complicated and i was using a bunch of tools so I decided to bring my wobbly set up next to the machine I was working on. It was great to have everything I needed right there next to me. I felt accomplished. Until the end of the day when the boss man was doing his rounds and saw my set up. I could tell he was having conflicting thoughts. He, after all, tries to have a clean and organized shop. After he mustered courage he asked me what was going on with my tool box. I smiled and said, "I found it in the trash". He didn't smile. So he says, "if you want i can buy you a tool box, I don't want trash in my shop." I didn't find that offensive at all because the set up looks like trash.

So there is the story of how i got a free tool box. Technically it's the shop's but I got the keys.

Edit: I added a picture of my good Kennedy set up that I currently keep at home. Custom base to hold two hanger boxes.
