Zip ties and Icon wrenches, used a 20% no exclusion coupon.
Are the HF zip ties any good? I’ve always been afraid to try them.
Yes they are, only ones I have used for years.

I don’t like them ripping off Knipex designs, but don’t mind a little healthy competition for Snap-on.
I was told, “these aren’t supposed to be on the floor yet”, whatever that means. I had to ask for them; the manager didn’t know they had them.
19.99 and a 25% coupon brought them to 14.99.

I dont have the 8" 96ACF these are copying. Comparison below is my 9" 97ACF, so the tip geometry is slightly different.
The ICON serrations are very well done and mesh well.
The tips touch perfectly at the tip with a hairline gap closer to the pivot.
Im not a HF guy, but initial impressions are good.

Looks like they just released these cutters and slip joints as well.Scored a pair of the Icon needle nose. Thanks for the heads up, knurled nut!
What is the link for the deal? Still works?Tool special from Home Depot. All this for under $100 seemed like a pretty good deal. All US made except the tester and the long nose pliers, but the package said forged in US and finished in Mexico.
Has anybody tested these Icon pliers against Doyle ones? Really curious whether there is any meaningful difference.Looks like they just released these cutters and slip joints as well.
I think the only meaningful difference would be that, the Icons are attempting to be snap on clones whereas, the Doyle pliers are using Klein tools as their inspirationHas anybody tested these Icon pliers against Doyle ones? Really curious whether there is any meaningful difference.

Going back for the cutters today. Saw them last night too. Hadn’t seen them before. The HF associate who rang me up scanned the needle nose, computer paused for a second, and registered. Guy said, I didn’t even know we got those and had them. I haven’t even seen them yet! He was surprised. I wondered the same about the cutters.Looks like they just released these cutters and slip joints as well.
Yep. They still have it. Home Depot linkWhat is the link for the deal? Still works?
Beautiful set!Gift from my Papa. Par-X socket set.
Back th HF today to take advantage of 25% off on those pliers! They had three in stock, first set l grabbed the tips had a slight offset when closed but on the second set the tips mated up perfectly.
Noticed. Guess I could have mentioned that. Just had no interest in either of those.Looks like they just released these cutters and slip joints as well.

The long nose and diagonals are each 19.99. We've been using the 25% off and getting them for 14.99.Good deal. No one has posted how much they were.

I mentioned it in the original post #61,167. And Smokeshow posted pics.

Those are wire strippers. What are the unusual looking NWS pliers on the left used for?
