Not a bad idea for a thread. That is what I am planning for in my garage. I will be sure to post some pics after I have got everything situated again.

I’m very interested in seeing how some have everything set up.

I’ve got a blank canvas to work with. I’ll be setting up a small wood shop AND metal shop. I’ve never had either and I’m a hack at both. But, I’m sure I’ll learn as I go. I just want to “try” and put in what I will eventually need.

Below is the space. In the corner on the right, there will be a bathroom. On the right wall will be a mechanical room (hot water tank, air compressor, vacuum)

The wood shop will be around the window area. Below the window I was thinking of building a 4X8 shop table with a cut-out for a table saw.
Items I’d like to add; planer, compound miter saw

The metal shop will be against the mechanical room wall.
Items I’d like to add; small mig welder, grinder, drill press, vise.

Neither areas are that big. But they should be big enough for me.
