Here's a real kick in the pants. In the county I'm working to get my steel building approved, they just added code (last week) that any residential or accessory buildings facing a right of way can not have a metallic surface. Apparently residents have been complaining to the building folks that people are building garages/etc. near the street and "they look like oil change or other commercial businesses". Great.
So just on one side, the side facing the road, I need to figure out a way to cover the steel siding and I am wondering WTH I'm going to solve this with. Has anyone else ever heard of anything like this, or had to put a covering/coating/whatever on the side of a steel building? Wood? Vinyl? Animal skins? Spray foam?
