Can the silkflex be ground. I plan to use some and since it takes 7 days to cure. I am going to grind my floor one more time with a big grinder. It was done once and I have logged 120 plus hours with a 7 inch wheel getting what the big one didn't get. A lot of low spots. I have knocked the highs down now. When I grind I will need to epoxy right away. One more week of vacation left for the year and its getting cold.

I wouldn't try it.

It dries firm, but still flexible and not hard.

Dave:
Sikaflex is ok after the coating is applied.
This will guarantee no cracked coating over the joints as it is flexible.

Going to buy a torpedo mr. Heater. 175,000 and try to do it in the coming weeks

Be careful. Those (kero/diesel) heaters can throw impurities into the air that can mess with a coating.

Right on the tube Dave it says

Elastic seal

Never shrinks

Permanent bond



I'd probably take the advice from Legacy. One thing I'll suggest is that you mask off the joints when you use the Sikaflex. It'll make life alot easier when you try to make a clean finish.

How close is the silkaflex to my base color? Outside temp of 55. Will the slab be too cold for application?

If it wasn't for such a wavy floor. I would be done already. Sweep a 7 inch grinder side to side and you feel the waves. Plus the ash dark spots

Alot of my control joints have some edge chipping. I can tape some of them though
