How did you made the stripe to get it accurate?
What did you use to trim the Racedeck tiles? I need to get a trimmer next week for cutting the tiles and don't know what works best.

Thanks a lot! I measured down from the ceiling every few feet and marked the wall, then connected the marks with a line. I noticed you have a laser level in your thread, that would be ideal. I trimed the tiles with a table saw, worked great.

You can also just use a skill saw, that's what i used.

My little helper and I did some work to the motorcycle table. (a freebie from work)

Then he took a break while I primed it.

Thanks Andy. The blue stripe is a cool idea, but I'm just gonna go one solid color instead. I'm sitting here staring at it right now trying to decide if I want it gray or black. yeah I drilled right through and put 4 bolts in it. Congrats on the stand, ill have to check it out.

Go with the black since the lower half of the walls are grey, might be to much to do the stand the same colour

I'm always up late, you could say I'm a night owl. I like the "me time", plus I mostly work second shift. 3pm-11:30pm. And oh hell yes, bring on the motogp!

I attached the castor wheels to the table tonight. It is so cool to be able to roll it in any direction with ease. They are also locking, which is really handy.

Wow DW that has worked well are the legs welded to a main frame or bolted to the top? By adding the Castor's to it, it will add extra stresses to them But it is great to be able to move easily any which way. How does the Bike feel up there, quite stable with the race stand I would say well done....

The legs are welded. The whole thing feels alot more sturdy than I thought it would. I'm really happy with it. Thanks for the great ideas! I'll be putting a saftey strap around the front wheel attaching it to the "C channel" up front, just for good measure.

Rather than a strap to make it extra rigid, why not a shelf will achieve the same and will give you a shelf for supplies etc, thoughts?

Just curious about how you get the bike up onto the bench? I realize you use a ramp of course, but are you simply able to walk it up the ramp? How does the lifting device attach to the rear wheel? Do you hold the bike upright and have someone lever the cam lift (?) with an extension from the rear of the bike? It seems that using that rig might be a 'high pucker-factor moment'. How about some 'in process' pics of getting the bike up there?

I have a couple of bikes to work on and this old body sure gets tired of being hunched over to do certain maintenance operations; it'd be nice to be able to get the bike up in the air without it tipping over onto me while I'm trying to do it. Thanks!

You pretty much got the right idea. I've been using the rear stand for about 5 years now, so its a pretty simple task. You just line the little hooks up with the swingarm spools while balancingthe bike with the left hand, press down on the handle on the stand with your right hand. Your right about the pucker factor doing this on the table. Especially since I have to be in the dead center since there is no extra room on the sides. Ill try to take some pics or video next time. If I were you, I'd buy a hydraulic lift table. That would be MUCH easier.
