Took a quick pic today. I haven't really done much to the place lately. However, I have been contemplating a fold down work bench on one of the side walls and some more cabinets. Maybe after it cools off outside. Damn its been warm lately.

Looking good! And the fold down bench idea I think is a great one. It will give you probably 2x or more working space, and it folds out out of the way. How can you beat that?

Yeah, everytime the single car garage in Indy thread pops up it makes me wanna do it. Haha. I'm thinking of putting it next to the workbench, so it creates an L shaped bench when its up.

A flip down would be great and very useful. It would be especially nice if you painted the bottom of it to match the wall so that when it was up, it wouldn't be an eye sore but more something that blended in.

I like the fold-down beside the main bench idea. I might be tempted to add one right over the freezer so it drops down to make a workstation over an otherwise unused space.

Cabinets are always a good idea. I'm making the ones on my side walls 12" deep so they don't crowd the shop too much, but still give me lots of storage

Definitely an inspiring thread, found ex post facto (for me). I borrowed thematic elements from someone (pictures found somewhere else, and RaceDeck's FB site "I think"). Didn't look further into the source of the shots, until now, but examining this thread well there you go.

You did the heavy lifting, starting from a rougher template than mine, page 1 of the thread through current. I merely polished what was already in place, in my case. I think you've maximized limited space well.

(Chuckle): I get a kick out of my Yamaha shop stool, bought on eBay from a dealership for some nominal price. Maybe you need one, could be a good addition!

Thanks. I did notice your Yamaha stool and even though you don't ride a Yamaha, it still looks perfect in there. Ill definitely have to get one of those some day.

Absolutely awesome space. Just read it start to finish! It's quite amazing how the before/after differ. Maybe you'll find a blue frame to throw a "before" print up on the wall... Just to show how far you've come!

I have been eyeing your Racedeck for awhile now. I got my samples in last week and the only concern I have is the noise. The rep that I spoke with told me to use synthetic landscape fabric. Is it very noticeable? Did you put something under yours. Is there anything you wish you would have done different?

Thanks guys, for the compliments. Jrussell, The noise you speak of is noticeable. However, it doesn't really bother me anymore. In the beginning, I did kind of wish I would have went back and put the landscaping fabric down first. Good luck!

Hey guys, how's it going? I haven't been on in awhile, so I thought I'd drop in and share some pics of what I've become consumed in lately. Lol. Remember the mini bike from page 1? Well, my son and I are doing a little resto-mod as they call it. So anyhow, my question to you is, how can I incorporate a Honda theme into my Yamaha garage without having the two themes clash. Or should I just leave it alone? Any ideas?

A little off topic here but, I just finished an Expert Milling Course last week. There was two guys from Perth who traveled over here to attend as well. You strailians are funny. Lol One of them spotted a squirrel one day and youd have thought he just found a pot of gold. Haha

I'm with everyone saying leave your garage as is. It's so nice, why mess with success?!

As for painting the little Honda blue? I'm a no vote but that's cause it's a "RESTO-mod" and I like red! But it WOULD fit the theme of your garage.

On the other hand, will you only ever have all blue stuff the rest of your life?
