6m x 3m.
started off with.
the bench on the left and the shelves on the right were left by previous owner.
fitted a new boiler outside and got the original hiding in the corner to the scrap man who gave me a bit of cash
bit of a rearrangement but same kit
had a clear up
picked up some sound.
picked up record numbers 4 and 5 after destroying my cheapo vice.
picked up a midbox for my toolbox.
put in some highlevel shelving. Somepoint around here i had a big 12mm^2 cable installed and a seperate consumer unit in the garage fed off a 40amp breaker. in the house. as i found the previous owner had wired the lot into a 6amp lighting ring main using 1.5mm^2 cable.... and i was running a 160amp welder off that :S - wasnt trippign the old fuse board but the cable was getting hot and stretching massively in the spare room sagging between the cable clips in the cupboard.
picked up a much needed drill press.
ditched all my floor mounted shelves and cleared out alot of garbage. fitted a big 6ft deep shelve above the garage door. as it was wasted space before as the door opened there anyway.
built my self a taller bench (im taller than most and the left behind bench was just that bit too low.)
Laminate flooring for the bench top and my record number 5 going in.
lick of paint on the bench and a back board attached. Absolutely SOLID
built the second bench along the back and got my press in place , the other vice mounted and bolted down my bench grinder on the LHS
current incarnation - very nice place to work now compared to before - the pile on the RHS is the bits of my land rover project that are not on the truck and may take legs in the garden - ie the desirable bits. Got 2 engines hiding in there a gearbox , the roof and rear panel , all the interior and all my new parts waiting to be fitted. - once i get all that back on the truck / skipped - ill have a huge swathe of room back.
