Single or Double End Fed LED t8's

My ballast fed 32W fluorescent t8 fixtures are beginning to have ballast failures. I have 10 fixtures and a total of 28 tubes. I really am not planning a replacement en masse as I am OK with the fluorescent but do not want to continue to invest in the fluorescent technology, be it tubes or ballasts.

So is there a winning wiring standard yet? Feed from one end or each end? I have no problem wiring the fixtures either way, and understand that a fixture wired for a singe end tube, that receives a double end tube will result in a short. I also understand the shunt issue in tombstones.

I just want to move toward a standard, if there is one, since I just had another ballast failure.

Double end power has clearly won the battle.
Go with those.

Another vote for double ended. I had one ballast go out in my shop and bought a couple of LED bulbs. I was sooo happy with the result that I did all of my shop. And one in the main garage, one in the utility room, a couple in the house ...

I went double end on mine.... just because I am not that fond of hot/neutral on the same end.... There is a counter argument on that, but I went with double end...

besides that, it is easier to convert and doesn't have to dependent on that bi-pin socket in case your old fixture is not a bi-pin...etc etc..

If there's a debate go double end tubes. All the double ended tubes I have used can also function as single end power tubes.
