Your order # is: 100001666.

Just placed my order. I liked the one wobble extension I bought on Epstein Day so much I ordered the 1/4 and 3/8 sets this time. Plus a few specialty sockets and NOS angle wrenches. And the deep female E-torx socket set since I have had some occasions where my shallow Snapon set was barely adequate. Plus a few non SK things like some of the closeout pliers.

I'm a little bit scared. Phoned my order in on Friday morning, as the website wasn't working for me. Still no confirmation email, nor has my card been billed.
Hoping they are just running behind.

You're fine. Lots of orders to process, and they won't be billed until they go through.

Any chance I get, I rather support Harry J Epstein. Jori, Dan Steve and the rest of their crew are great people. Shopping at Epstein's is similar to going back in time when you could still find a independent hardware store and actually get to know the people that worked there.

I am very proud to say I buy from them and take even more pride knowing that contribute to domestic manufacturing. Jori is such a brilliant man, not only with maintaining the site, the beautiful artwork, but the level of genuine customer service and respect for others.

They are the first place I look when I'm buying tools online. The service is unbelievable and the selection is amazing. I would much rather my money go to a small business than a chain, even if it costs slightly more. The best part is Harry Epstein's is generally one of the cheaper options.

Just saw this and upset I missed it. I participated in Epstein's day for the first time this year and was looking forward to SK day.

I appreciate that they are an independent hardware store that still has sane prices. I wanted to support the local tool supply store so I go in there, and the guys in there were really in your face about "having to keep the doors open". They had an awesome display of Wright, and at the time I was about to pull the trigger on the Wright 958s off Amazon. They don't have prices listed on anything, and I asked them what the price was on that set. They told me something like 450 or 550$.

Thus, I walked out of there, went home and ordered them for 220$ off Amazon. I can see paying a bit more for being able to walk in and buy them but good lord man.

HJE actually has better prices than Amazon on a lot of stuff!

HJE is the bomb! I tell everyone who will listen what a great place it is, and damn well mean it.

Same here and considering the Harry J Epstein shirts are USA made, I also wear those and I've had people ask about them as well. Some of these people you would think would be the type that would interested, but yet they've asked.

So who else placed their order at precisely 12:00 AM? Also, anyone call/email/message Harry J Epstein to add items to your existing SK Order? I know I did.

Now to a certain extent, I understand why some these big corporate chains act the way they do, as they exist only to make money. But some company polices go way overboard. Granted we do live in an era of liability and lawsuits, but sometimes there is all this stress and anxiety over nothing.

To the best of my knowledge there aren't any independent hardware store in my area. Ace Hardware is the closest aspect to a independent hardware store, but they aren't always the best in terms of USA made products. Believe me, I'd like to buy local, but I also need to support my country as well.

I'll say this again and anyone that will listen, but the crew at Epstein's are legitimately good people.

Haha no kidding. Massive amounts of work involved in trying to get all the orders packed (not to mention getting in items they run out of), billed, shipped, etc.

Not to mention this all happened while the city is celebrating the Royals' World Series victory! :drink:

I picked up my shirt today from the order I placed on Friday. They are really nice USA made shirts.

Yesterday was a pretty crazy day in downtown KC with the Royals World Series celebration. I bought some other odds and ends today and it is the first time I have got out of there under $200. I always find something else tucked away that I really don't need but want.

Thanks again Jori for having Epsteins, SK and Garage Journal get together for another successful SK day.

Other than the NOS angle wrenches I ordered, I'm pretty sure everything SK I got has to be ordered in. No big deal though, quality products and service at a decent price is well worth waiting for.

I'm another person who emailed and modified my order.

Many SK items are special order. They indicate on the HJE website which items are special order.

My screwdrivers are special order, so I didn't expect anything by now.

Nobody with an order or shipping notification yet?

Figured we had a few guys with everything in stock.

Several days ago I received an order confirmation from Epstein's about my order. Now granted, I had since added some items to this order and requested art work, so I am not expecting this to come soon. Which is entirely fine with me, as all of these items are special order.

My order will be here tomorrow, unfortunately I won't be home to share pictures until Sunday. Picked up the indexing pry bars with the discount and a scraper set. Thanks HJE and SK :)

I have a question about this, I ordered some individual 3/8 drive sockets as part of my order, the website says something like "49 in stock" for these items but also further down it says "this item is a special order item and takes about a week to get in'.

I haven't gotten any shipping update on my order yet either I was wondering if it i was due to these items being "special order" and really there are not "49 in stock" or just because they are generally backed up with SK day orders?

Not trying to sound impatient although it is tough waiting for new tools :)

If the site says it's a special order item, it's a special order item. The "in stock" number doesn't matter in those cases. That's my understanding, at least.

From what I understand inventory is something they are currently working on. Pay no attention to the numbers.

Alrighty, I received my order today.

Unfortunately it's not 100% whole.

One of my two items is the 5 piece oil filter cup/socket set. I opened it up to find one cup missing completly and another one looks like it was already used. It has oil smudges/residue on it.

I don't really care that it was used, but I'd have preferred a new item.
What is an issue is that the set is missing a cup/filter.

I'm at work now, but I'll post a photo up once I get home tonight.

Jarhead - the oil on the cup may have been put there at the factory to avoid rust issues while the set sat on the shelf. As for the missing cup, you should call HJE and explain the issue so that they can swap out the set for a new one. It may have been a QC issue from SK and HJE wouldn't have known about it before the item shipped.

I got my shipping notice today. I should see the order in the mailbox early next week. :rocker:

Cultivating patience here :)

Everything I ordered appears to be in stock, but I did request art work.

I wish you were right, but the cups are poly. They aren't made of metal. Also, it's only on one out of five.

I don't blame HJE, but SK should have caught it.
