The big brown truck dropped my breaker bars off today. The 30 inch half inch drive breaker bar is quite the beast.
The long 3/8 drive breaker bar has the same dimensions (handle thickness, beam thickness and head as a regular 3/8 drive breaker bar, it's just longer not beefier.

The special stuff I ordered is making this like having a Secret Santa from South Africa. I can't wait to get the goodies, but everyone else is getting theirs first.

I forgot to put my shirt size down on my order or it would have shipped today. Considering I had 9 special order items, 3 of which I consider pretty obscure, SK seems to have improved a lot on their inventory from last year.

I had only one Special Order item, but my invoice still says processing.

Maybe it will ship this week.

ORDER RECEIVED ! :rocker:

This is the first time that I've requested box art.
I asked for a picture of Pat Patriot eating a Dolphin to humor my BIL (It's a New England thing).

I only put together a small order this time around. 4 stubby screwdrivers. I was interested in these because they are a little longer than standard stubbies. I wasn't expecting to get any of the freebies since the order was so small, but I got a call on saturday from HJE asking for my shirt size.
Thank you.

In the last pic, you can see that the new SK stubbies also have a fatter handle than the old SK stubbies, making them closer to the offerings from the truck brands. I like this feature as well. The old ones were a little hard to get a good grip on. Both of the screwdrivers in the pic are the same model number. #81001.

Gotta love those green hard handles ! Great drivers.

Got my impacts yesterday. Man, I gotta say. Those shirts are awesome. Not something I normally give a rip about, but for a freebie, those are top notch. Shoot, for a T-shirt you pay for, they are top notch:
1. Made in USA! I had assumed the EPA banned the manufacture of textiles here given how rare that is.
2. Nice, THICK T-shirt material. Not some cheap tee that is going to wear out after a half dozen uses, then discarded to the rag bag.
3. Nice, pre-shrunk cotton. Same as above, really rare in a tee nowadays.

Package has arrived. Ordered on SK-Weekend, Shipping pre-notice last Friday, Package left KC on Monday via USPS Priority Mail, Arrived today - Thursday. Less than two weeks from order to deliver that included one item that was out of stock, pretty good :D

Got my order today!

30" 1/2" breaker bar---this thing is a tank. Might justify buying a wider toolbox!

8" hard handle screwdrivers---standard & Phillips. Nice, and bigger than I expected. Without putting them to the test, they appear to be near Snap-On hard handle quality.

Slip joint pliers---nice piece. Nice pliers can't really be appreciated unless you've had a cheap Chinese set in your tool belt for years!

As stated above, the T-shirt is really nice. Like last year, it's about the right level of "cool" without being flashy or overly adorned. I'll wear it with pride.

Thanks HJE, Jori, SK, and GJ for this event. Looking forward to next year!

I got my order today. The order looks good and the screwdrivers look great. I'll post some impressions once I have more time to tinker with them.

I would also add, this is a special order set, but it still arrived quickly. And, I was one of the A-holes who emailed them after SK day ended to have them change my order.

Great service from HJE!

So I know we had fewer orders this year but it seems SK has done a pretty good job of getting things shipped to HJE this time.

Tomorrow will be two weeks from the start of SK days. I wonder how many guys we still have without even a shipping notice.

My order came today. Happy with what I got and will be buying more S-K in the future. Thanks for the shirt HJE! Haven't worn it but it is nice to see it's USA made.

I got a call from HJE today they told me most of my order was available but one item I ordered (fractional wrench set 86017) ran out and is backordered from SK so it will be a few more weeks before it arrives. Also he said one of the XXL breaker bars was out of stock too but more were coming in next week (I got both 3/8 and 1/2 I don't remember which one it was).

However talking it over with the guy on the phone (sorry I did not catch his name) and they will ship what they have of my order to me tomorrow and then send the wrenches later when they come in. They won't even charge me extra shipping for that :). Originally they were going to wait to send the first part until the breaker bars came in next week but I told them I didn't have an immediate need for the breaker bar so just ship what they had now and I will get it with the wrenches. I was anxious to get some of my new tools hehe.

My order is still processing, but considering that I added items to this order and all of these items are "special order" this makes sense that my package didn't come yet. That and I requested art work.

But I am fine with waiting, as I am happy to support Harry J Epstein and naturally modern US manufacturing. This is quite amusing to see the look of horror with some people when I tell them I am fine waiting for a package. Some are used having items delivered very quickly or even the next day.

Patience is a virtue.

1/4" drive Bit Sockets
1/4" drive 10mm Flex Socket

Bayside shirts can't be beat. :rocker:

I became a fan after getting my Armstrong shirt from Epstein's Day. Bought some plain shirts in different colors since then. They are pricey compared to cheap Hanes shirts, but absolutely worth it.

Nothing for me yet other than the order confirmation on 10/31. I suspect that the three extension sets (not the snazzy locking ones) that I ordered are the cause of the slowdown.

EDIT: Well speak of the devil, my shipping notice just came in. Wohoo!!

Just got off the phone with HJE.

Apparently SK has the 13 PC 12 POINT FRACTIONAL LONG PATTERN COMBINATION WRENCH SET SK86017 on back order for 2-4 weeks.

So, if anyone has that in their order and you haven't gotten a shipping notification yet, that may be the reason.

Everything else I have ordered is in and will be shipping Monday.

YAY!!

Keep up the great work HJE!

Received my order a few days ago. Well packaged! One socket is shiny on the inside, the rest aren't. Guessing they're typically not coated on the inside. Overall, very impressed and excited to try them out soon. The ratchets are very smooth. I was a bit concerted the knurling would be too aggressive and rough, but it's nice and smooth, yet easy to hold on to for no slippage. Love the shirt and the box art (what a wonderful idea)!

Got home from fire department training and opened my goody box. I picked up two of the HJE shirts and a pressure gauge along with the SK stuff.

I actually had two orders, so there was a bit more swag.

Met my mailman on the way out the door to work Friday...took my box to work with me. Great packing as usual and they went above the call again. Thanks to all at Epstein's. A few non SK items snuck into my cart... Torx drivers feel great and have nice long shafts.
