Does anybody in here have a good opinion on weather or not it's cost effective to rebuild a skid steer bucket. If I had to guess it'd be anywhere between 800-1200 depending on the side and build type.
The skid steer came to my house needing a few repairs on the machine and the owner wants to see if i can repair the bucket also. So for right now what I can see (bucket is off, on the ground while machine is being repaired) is the heel of the bucket is worn out/thin. There's a few cracks in the factory welds where the attach plate is welded to the bucket. He does a lot of remove/replace concrete work so it takes a beating and scraping asphalt is the equivalent to taking cheese to a grater.
If its just the bottom of the bucket and some wear strips I cant see it costing more than 500 bucks for materials.
