I recently came across an older Skil Belt Sander. The name plate says
Skil Sander Model 9, 8 amp.
It came from a lot that included lots of prewar era hand tools.
Does anyone have any idea how old this thing is?
It works like new but the back end of the handle is shattered, I insulated the exposed wires and taped up the handle well enough to test it.
The oil reservoir was full, and the belt like new.
It was found behind an old cabinet and apparently had fallen off the back of the cabinet down behind a section of wall between two additions in the basement.
Does anyone know where a handle for something like this can be found?
Any idea how old it may be?
