I have an old garage that has been moved and raised. The sliding door does not function well. Any suggestions on how to repair or modernize (newer trolleys) this type of door?

There was a garage near out down town that had a 6 piece door like that - pretty cool setup with the rollers and tracks. I'd check with barndoorhardware.com because they seem to have things that work a lot like those old doors.

Thanks for the suggestions. I would like to repair if I can. I would like to add a roller assembly and am looking for a new or even used source. Thanks for the barndoorhardware reference - any other places. Part of the track is twisted and I would appreciate any suggestions on that also.

1933,
I had this type of door on my shop before I moved and replaced it with an overhead type. The first thing ya gotta do is to straighten out the track, you will be chasing your tail until you get that done. On an old building, ya get settling and shifting so ya need to shim it back, I used door shims and a straight edge and it worked out pretty good. Take your time here, it'll pay off. Next is the rollers and hinges, I took mine off and dissembled them and let them soak in vinegar for a few days while I straightened out and shimmed the track. After I cleaned, lubed and reassembled them, I adjusted the door height and plumb. After it was all said and done, you could slide the doors with one finger.

little d has the idea.
You have to find the cause and not just fix the symptoms.
I would guess the building is still not completely square.
and that is the cause of your twisted track.
Some come-a-long and shim work may be in your future.

BTW
You are not going to find an easy place for that style door hardware.
I have seen them in use at airport hangers, but not residential for years.
If you want to keep it you might want to get friendly with your local fab shop guy.

Googling "barn door hardware" reaps a slew of online retailers for flat track and parts, but the vast majority of options are for straight-line designs. The only curved track options I see are for indoor use, with much smaller wheels running inside of an enclosed aluminum track.

Does your hardware have a swivel point in line with the top of the door itself? That's the unique part that you will probably have to clean and re-use, even if you end up replacing the track itself, or the wood that is between the track and the rest of the structure.

I know that wind pushing on this door has been a problem, and may be one of the causes for twisting in the track. In order to protect your work when this project is completed, you will want to install a bumper on the deck in the center of the opening- could just be a blob of concrete- and a bracket to support the door at the end of the track in the closed position.

Thanks for the advice.

Here are pics of the rollers (or tracks?) I am looking for, the pulley diameter is about 2 3/4":
