Agree - the 944 turbo & 993 turbo were both aspirational purchases carried from my youth. I thought I'd get bored with them & move on to other cars but I love them more today than ever. The 944 has been highly modified and is an absolute blast to drive.

Thanks - the Germans definitely know how to engineer great cars (or at least they did)...

I like to 928 - especially the GTS, though I've never had the itch strong enough to buy one.

Thanks! Wish you were closer - a couple of the cars could use a detail...!

So, this one is my latest purchase and is currently in LA awaiting the transporter. It's a 1992 C2 with an Ed Pink built 3.8 motor & very nicely dialed in chassis. The color is mint green & very hard to find as very few were ordered by dealers when new. Highly sought after now. Still trying to figure out where to put this one but I couldn't resist!

Sitting in good company I see! Fantastic collection. Enjoy in good health!

Oh wow and you have only space for 3 cars????

Wout

At the house, yes only 3 spaces. I do have a small building about 10 minutes away that I keep the other cars. My goal is to consolidate and just have 6 spaces at the house.

Mint green is a great color.

I am partial to blues (Gulf Blue '75; added a silver boxster S briefly; now down to one 911 - a hotrod '73 in Gemini Blue). I also "de-redified" the '73. Nothing says "Arrest Me ! I'mon coke" like a bright red car.

never got a ticket in a blue car...

I love Gemini on the longhoods - great color.

Sweet looking Porsche's. You have a awesome looking garage.

Thanks!

Much appreciated. Yes, the 964 is not exactly slumming it in LA...

Great collection! I love Porsches. Care to share any highlights of the 951 mods?

Also, the pic of your '67 on the lift, was that taken at Jeff Jones place?

Happy to share the details of the 951... No, that shot was taken when the car was in NorCal at the shop owned by the gent who I bought it from and who subsequently 'restyled' it for me.

The 951 is a 1988 in a very rare color called Nile Green. I specifically wanted this color when I started the nationwide search for a 951 that took almost a year and ironically ended just 40 miles from my house... It had just under 50K miles when I bought it and was in incredible condition with some rare options such as a 5R transmission that came with both LSD and external oil cooler. Here are some pictures from the day I picked it up from the Hot Rod Dealer in Lansing about 10 years ago:

Over the next several years I set about transforming the car in to my ideal version of a 951, from both a visual and performance point of view - here are the specifics (i will likely forget many iteams):

Exterior:
968 mirrors
968 door handles
968 rear spoiler
Euro rear bumper
New lower side skirts & chin piece
Euro fog / driving lights
Clear side / turn signal lenses
When painting the new parts I also had the front bumper and rear quarters painted to remove stone chips.

Motor:
Larger K27 turbo
Vitesse Racing MAF system
Richard Mount Racing head
85lb injectors
Speed Force Racing hard pipes
Speed Force Racing 3" stainless downpipe
Speed Force Racing 3" stainless exhaust system
Zeitronix wide band O2
3bar FPR
Tial blow off valve
Lindsey Racing boost controller
Saiku Michi catch can
Forge Motorsports PSR

Chassis:
Very rare Koni (showroom stock) double adjustable coilovers
968 M030 Front & rear swaybars
Racing Dynamics strut brace
928 GTS front brake calipers
993tt front rotors (electroless nickel plated)
968 M030 rear rotors (electroless nickel plated)
Ruf modular wheels - 8.5x18f 11x18r

Interior:
Original full leather sport seats
Full leather interior by Hof Designs including
Upper/lower dash
Door panels
Door tops
Door pockets
Door openers
Grab handles / arm rests
A pilars
B pilars / rear panels
Center console / storage lid
Custom stainless door sills
Very rare 'special wishes' 959 steering wheel

Gratuitous pics!

Did you purchase the mint green one from Signer, or does the car just like to hang out with half-million bucks buddies?

Fantastic! So many subtle but key changes to appearance; it's a really cohesive build. Amazing IP - Hof does some super cool stuff! Thanks for sharing the details.

One last question, who did the mechanical/engine work?

I lied.

Do you ever take it to Zingermans' or Pastiener's for a cars and coffee? I'd love to see it in person.

Love the 951 but why convert to a 968 lookalike vs just purchase a 968?

There are still some significant differences between my car and a 968...

Kind of....

Thanks for the compliments.

All of the non-paint work on my car has been done by Stephen Cramer @ Autocore Performance, in fact he's the only one that touches any of my cars except for the spyder. Probably one of the best 951 Tech's in the country.

I do (or did) go to the Zingerman's C&C... Haven't been to Pastieners for a while - too lazy to drive all the way there since I moved from Bloomfield Hills.

Read the script on the rear deck lids....

Oh my! I didn't zoom in on the pic before you mentioned that. Now I see.

I was thinking, "Who the hell would either be able to make one of those or purchase one?"

The clay model is Singer's styling buck for their soon to be released DLS (Dynamic Lightweight Study) model that features a 4 cam motor built by Williams F1 in the UK.

The Singer is indeed everything one could want in a Porsche. All it requires is a 964 shell and a blank check.

I'll stick with my garden variety 911 for now. :)

[truth be told, I can't wait for a YT vid with the sound of that Williams motor. ]

Here's a YT vid of the Singer test mule @ Goodwood last year:

So the Mint Green 964 finally made it here in August, which gave me a few good months to get to know it quite well before winter hibernation. What a car it is... I don't typically go with personalized plates but this one popped in my head one evening & I thought it was a nice play on the color / word. Hope all is well with everyone.

Loving the garage...... tell us more about this v10 skull :)!

A friend of mine had a BMW M5 V10 years ago that he installed aftermarket headers on - he eventually sold the car and kept the OEM headers in his storage unit which he forgot about. We were there a while ago looking for some other parts and I noticed the headers on the shelf - they were positioned in a way that I could see that the 'skull' shape would appear if they were bolted together at the ports.

I bought them from him & bolted them up - now I just need to buy some dark red marbles for eyes!

Very nice collection. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Porsches. Pretty sure I’ll never be able to afford one. My neighbor (recently moved) has 9 of them and 2 or 3 Karmann Ghias. Any more pics of the grey one next to the clay model?

Like the Arena .. it's a great color. The spider in white is also very nice -- my 993 was white .... often not very popular. Most of mine have been black.

What's MB grill off of -- have a 300se coupe and a later 109 sedan

The Mercedes grill is from a W108 - I've always loved them but haven't owned one. I do plan to one day (a coupe, of course) - which is probably why I bought a set of Euro headlights a while ago....

Good to know that I'm not the only person that picks up parts for cars that they don't own... yet. My wife has figured out the pattern so she's always wandering around the garage asking "what car does this go on?" to see if I'm scheming some kind of crazy project.
