I‘ve got some automotive specific bolts that are rusting, that I’d like to replate back to factory. Years ago I tried the Eastwood plating system and it performed poorly (being kind). Does anyone know of any home plating system that works decently for a very small batch process?
Powder coat on rims almost never works well, for long. Powder coat tends to come of in large chunks and it is not difficult to harm it while working...
One of the Project Binky epsiodes was devoted to at home plating of auto fasteners.. been a while since I watched it, but I remember it being in depth.
I use the Caswell Copy Cad setup. But infrequently enough I hafta re-educate myself on it whenever it's pulled out. Power supply is kind of complicated. I'm impressed by how long the plating looks nice.
