I am not going to modify it. This is the first one I ever came across from Germany. I thought it was different from what I'd seen.

You have a good wife. If I brought that home, Mrs. LS6 would wrinkle her nose and call it old junk... :lol_hitti

BTW, 13/32" is somewhat rare...

Those are the type wrenches you can modify and not worry about the price. I have a few that I've picked up at flea markets, tag sales etc that I've cut or heated up and bent. If you look at the first two posts here you'll see what I mean. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=325955

I have a customer who every time the Flank-Drive plus sets come on promo, he buys a new set and throws the old ones in the bottom of this toolbox foor when he needs to bend one.

He's an amazing metallurgist (self-taught from the internetz) and says that when you start with the best, you end up with the best. He has all manner of specialty wrenches made from Snap-On.

I have Chech, Russian, Spanish, French and various German brands collected over time. It took a long time to get the eastern European stuff.

Its interesting to get into these collections.

Something that says West Germany on it is rare now. More rare is something that says "Occupied zone west germany." I was given a wind up toy motorcycle that said that on it when I was very young. I passed it on to my grandchildren.

My lovely wife would call NEW tools from HJE, or anywhere else "junk".

At least until I use them to fix something she needs fixed or built

I have quite a bit of stuff marked Western Germany, which was handed down from my Grandfather. Not sure why the German stuff is so prevalent in Canada but I see a lot at sales too. I have a nearly full set of Heyco DOE in metric and imperial.
