Can anyone tell me what applications require small E-torx sockets (ie, E4, E5, E6 and E7)? I stock E5 and E7 sockets (in Facom) so people don't have to buy whole sets...not sure about the other 2 small sizes.

E4.......??

E5 - for Volvo ABS modules

E6.......??

E7 - for BMW E46 (3-series) window adjustments and BMW N63 (V8 engine) vacuum pumps

Anything else for E5 and E7?

Looking at my E4, E5, E6 sockets I don't think I ever used them. :)

I believe the E-5 removes the distributor cap screws on a Chevrolet LS1 engine. Not sure that is very helpful for your customer base though.

I have a 1/4" drive Tekton ratchet that uses the smallest torx bit I've seen to disassemble the head. Looks about 1/2 the size of a T-10.

Never seen the realy small ones or I should say I never needed to use a realy small one.

Have used mid sized ones on Dodge and Chysler upper strut mounts.

I know the tilt columns in pre-air bag trucks and cars used a e torx, but I can't think what the size is off the top of my head, I wanna say it's a E6. There is 3 screws and when they loosen up the Column gets real sloppy, pretty common problem.

I had a wood chipper that used E4 or E5 on carb studs. My buddy laughed at that and put a set of vice grips on them.
