I am building a CBS, 18' x 38', 11' outside wall height, shop on my lot. Due to available area I cannot make it any larger. I am planning on hopefully putting a lift in it if I can get the 12' interior height needed, by designing the truss's to correspond to that.

But I was wondering what other ideas or thoughts you folks might have for limited width smaller shops? Since I am in Florida, I know it will be hot, so any thoughts on cooling would be appreciated.

This is a very interesting forum. Thank you in advance.

That's small? Sounds huge to me, should be able to squeeze in 4 small cars. Back to your question, I'd go with scissor trusses to get some extra height for a lift and park 2 deep with work areas on the sides. How many cars/stuff do you need to fit?
