There are nice to use but u can put a lot of stress on caliper bolts especially being 1/4 drive but snap will warrantee but I always look at what I use these on do not test the limits all the time that is how the fail
I agree completely. I have had this tool since it came out and I just continually got harder and harder on it foolishly, not intentionally I guess. I started out using it to just back the bolts out once they where loose. Then I started to use it to brake some bolts loose that didnt seem to need a whole lot of force. Then tonight in a rush to finish a last minute job I pushed its limits feeling confident it would take the abuse. My rep is a great guy and I spend a lot of money with him. I think hes going to replace it but at the same time I want to keep my re-pore with him good so if I have to spend $20 to order that part and fix it my self ill do that as well.
This was really just a matter of I just kept using it harder and harder thinking it could handle it because it was handling so much already. And I dont own the 3/8 version of this impact because I couldnt justify gettnig something with the same torque as what I already have. I own a 3/8 air ratchet but in all honesty I have one air hose in my bay and switching tools between it is a PITA and time consuming.
Anyway I am not beaching in this post its more for comedic value than anything else. I know I pushed this tool to hard and I was foolish.
