On a related note, I just bought one of those Bahco-manufactured Harley-Davidson 9-piece ratchet sets.
While inspecting it, I noticed some Snap-on-like characters on all the pieces & I wondered if they were date codes... Sure enough, they match the codes from this updated Snap-on chart for the year 2003 (for the ratchet) and 2002 (for the sockets & extension)!
Has anyone else noticed this on Bahco or Williams pieces?
I can not see the chart, can someone repost? Please...
I have an old ratchet that is stamped snap on milwaukee usa. It does not have a direction selector, you must push the socket holder out and flip it to the other side. The only number that I can find is a seven. The number is on the ratchet head itself. Would this date back to 1927?
What else is interesting, look at the flank drive plus wrench, the logo isnt a snap on script that has ever been used. strange!
where can I find values of the older Snap-on tools?
I have a mint 1928 drag link driver, a pre-chrome era vacuum grip needle nose and many others that I inherited as a child (40 years ago) from my grandpa and I still have them
Why go that far to the future, knowing that the world is going to end in 2012?
Thanks Chad. Here is a scan of the printout my Snap On dealer gave me. Its definately the most complete one I have ever seen.
