I have a Snap On flexible 3/8" extension. I found it years ago, and bought it for my own tool box. But today I saw one GJ person's signature line with tools wanted to buy notes, including a flexible extension like mine. Are these uncommon?
You can see in the photo below that it appears to be new and unused. It is 8" long, plated, but not chrome. Maybe cadmium?
It must be a fairly recent tool, as the type-font looks modern.
Part number FX-61, as seen in following photo:
Note the imprint, "Not Guar" on the side.
The male end uses a friction ball for the socket mount.
I don't see a date code, unless the symbol "I" after the "USA" is a date code? I assumed it was for "Industrial"? I need to find that Snap On date code chart again....
I tried to look it up on the Snap On home page, to see what new ones cost, but couldn't find anything bigger than 1/4".
Are these discontinued now?
